Good Dreams
Allah جل جلاله said:{لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ} 'For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter' [Yūnus 10:64]
Al-ʿAllāmah As-Saʿdī rahimahullah explains:"As for the glad tidings in this world, they include: - a good reputation, - love in the hearts of the believers, - righteous dreams, - and the kindness that a servant sees from Allah toward him—such as Allah making the best deeds and noble character easy for him, and turning him away from bad character."
Shaykh Ibn Bāz rahimahullah notes:"The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Prophethood has ended, but the glad tidings remain.' He was asked, 'What are the glad tidings?' He replied, 'The righteous dream that a Muslim sees or that is seen for him.' It is glad tidings of good. However, a person should not rely on such dreams. Rather, they should continue striving in righteous deeds and remain steadfast. A good dream brings happiness, but it should not make a person lessen their efforts or become dependent on it. Glad Tidings إن شاء الله
Enquiry:السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته May Allah grant you life and honour you. Someone had a dream in which he saw another brother cleaning the toilets in Masjid Sahabah. This masjid has not been established. The brothers are currently trying to buid, or at least establish, this masjid in East London, by Allah's permission. That is what we all hope for. What is the interpretation of this dream? May Allah preserve you and bless you.
Sheikh Waleed Al-Hawbani hafidhahullah:وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته May Allah grant you life and bless you all. This is a good dream. It indicates that, by Allah's permission, this masjid will be built, and that it will be established upon goodness. Since the person was seen cleaning the toilets, this suggests that Allah will bless him with good and lawful provision.
