An Uzbek founder backed by Y Combinator joins Founding Contributors Farkhod Ibragimov, CEO of Enterprise Uzbekistan, met with Beknazar Abdikamalov, founder of a startup Speko. Beknazar is the second founder from Uzbekistan accepted into Y Combinator and the first to be accepted as a solo founder. They went through what the jurisdiction will open up for startups and venture funds. From next year, a startup will not have to split itself across jurisdictions. Companies can incorporate and hire on flexible terms, raise venture capital and close deals here, and test a product in a regulatory sandbox. The regulations that govern all of it are being written now, and Beknazar is joining Founding Contributors to work on them with us. He is also looking at placing his back-office team at IT Park Uzbekistan. If you are building a company, there is a dedicated startup category on the page for your input. The good suggestions make it into the regulations. Design the acts with us: https://enterprise-gov.vercel.app/ Full story: https://enterprise.gov.uz/news/19
