Every developer has that one moment:
“I’ll just quickly fix this bug.”
6 hours later:
You have rewritten half the project, questioned your career, and the bug is still there. 😭

Finally joined LeetCode today and solved my first problem.
I know I’m a little late to the party, but I’ve been putting it off for long enough. As a Computer Science student, DSA is something I can’t keep avoiding if I want to become a better developer.
One problem down. Many more to go. 🧩
Starting now.

I don’t know enough. 🤷♂️
I’ll start when I finish learning. 📚⏳
What if I fail?😰
What will people think? 👀😬
I don’t have a resource or the right tools. 💻❌
Other developers are already far ahead of me. 🏃♂️💨😩
I’m too late. ⏰😔
I’m not ready yet. 😬
I’ll start tomorrow. 😂📅⏳
These thoughts stop many people from starting—especially in tech and software development.
But the truth is, you will never feel completely ready. You learn by starting. You improve by practicing. You become better by making mistakes.
That first project may be messy. Your first application may get rejected. Your first lines of code may be terrible. That’s normal. 😂
The real pain is not failing. It’s looking back years later and realizing you never even tried.
Start before you feel ready. Learn as you go. Build, fail, improve, and keep moving.

GitHub is one of the most important platforms for developers. 💻
It helps you store, showcase, and collaborate on projects—and build your developer portfolio.
Drop your GitHub account below. Let’s connect! 🤝
Don’t have one yet? Go create one. Otherwise, where will you keep all those “I can code” claims? 😂

So, I decided not to rush the remaining projects. The real-time collaboration platform, mini social media platform, and e-commerce website have much more potential to strengthen my experience, so I’ll build them properly as serious projects.
I’m also working on my real personal full-stack portfolio, which I’ll launch after completing it.
The internship is completed. The real building continues. 🚀

I’ve officially completed my Frontend Development Internship at CodeAlpha! 🎉
During the internship, I built a responsive calculator and a minimal portfolio website:
🔗 Calculator: https://abdibirru.github.io/codealpha_calculator/
🔗 Portfolio: https://abdibirru.github.io/Codealpha_portfolio/
To be honest, these were simple projects I completed within the internship timeline. I was also informed that I needed to pay a fee to receive the certificate and letter of recommendation, despite the internship being advertised as free

As a beginner developer, don't choose between building projects and seeking internships. Do both.
Build your own projects to learn and experiment. Seek internships to experience real-world development: requirements, teamwork, deadlines, existing codebases, debugging, and feedback.
Don't wait for an internship to start building.

Monday means different things to different people.
For some, it's a fresh start. For others, it's the hardest day of the week. Either way, it's a chance to reset, refocus, and keep moving forward.
Have a productive and peaceful Monday, everyone.

50 minutes left… World Cup Final loading ⚽🏆
Who’s ready to watch history being made.? 👀🔥
Drop your predictions???

I used to rarely debug code. I mostly followed tutorials, copied code into my projects, and tried to understand how it worked afterward.
But now, debugging has become a major part of my learning process.
I build something, run into problems, investigate the cause, learn what I need, fix it, and improve.
Debugging is where I develop my problem-solving skills and learn how software actually works — even though it can be frustrating sometimes 😭
Build → Break → Debug → Learn → Improve 🔁

This whole year, I made the mistake of waiting until I knew everything before building. I ended up building only one project 😭
Now, I learn by building. I create something, face challenges, study what I need, improve it, and repeat 🔁
Real progress comes from combining learning with consistent execution.

Currently, I’m working on four projects, including my personal portfolio. I’ll start building my portfolio after completing one of the ongoing projects, while continuing to improve my skills and build more real-world applications. This is just a beginning ⭐

🚀 Finished my second project and pushed it to GitHub. This is one of my internship projects at CodeAlpha.
Built a mini calculator with real-time updates, full keyboard support, light/dark themes, responsive design, accessibility features, error handling, and zero dependencies using pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
I also focused on clean architecture by separating the calculator logic from the UI layer, making it easier to test and reuse.

🚀 Quick Update on My Internship Project
I initially planned to build a real-time communication and collaboration platform during my CodeAlpha internship.
After breaking down the scope, I realized it would be unrealistic to complete features like messaging, video conferencing, screen sharing, collaborative whiteboards, and file sharing in just one month—especially while completing the required two projects. Even for a team, a project of this scope can take 2–3+ months of focused development.
So, I'll be choosing smaller projects to complete properly during the internship.
The real-time communication platform isn't cancelled. I'll continue building it after the internship with the time and attention it deserves.
