you drove me insane in ways that shouldn't be possible. after yet another encounter, i spilled out onto the street, intoxicated by you and the cheap liquor i’d grabbed on the way over.
my legs were tangling, the asphalt treacherously slipping away beneath me. blasting from the roaring speakers of motorcycles, the windows of speeding cars, and the endless stretch of clubs, the music pounded against my temples, drowning out every thought. i was lost. the world shattered into hundreds of smeared blurs. club signs burned with a poisonous, electric glare, casting long shadows across the faces of passersby. people melted into the facades of buildings, headlights streaking into long trails of light before dissolving into the thick darkness.
my head spun, my vision darkening, leaving only the sharp flashes of neon. cold. pulsating.
i was drowning in my thirst for you, and the descent was only accelerating.
every night, every encounter, branded itself into my memory forever, leaving marks on my skin—whether from your nails, your lips, or my own madness. you stitched up old wounds, only to rip open new ones. deeper. more painful.
and everything around me kept pulsing with that neon glow, until i could no longer tell where the city ended and you began.
