Suddenly, by 1914, 30% of Argentinean population was made of parias of the world, born in other lands. In Buenos Aires, 50% of the population was foreign. They went with only suitcases full of clothes, maybe with a profession, maybe with their family. And they became part of what is now Argentina, mixed with the local population. It's seen in our language, in our food, in our traditions. Our constitution says: "(...) asegurar los beneficios de la libertad, para nosotros, para nuestra posteridad, y para todos los hombres del mundo que quieran habitar en el suelo argentino (...)" "(...) to ensure the benefits of freedom, for us, for our posterity, and for all the men in the world that would like to inhabit the Argentinean soil (...)"
