🌐 18th International Tournament of Young Mathematicians (ITYM) 2027 ✨️
The ITYM is an international team-based mathematics research tournament for high school and first-year undergraduate students, combining advanced problem-solving, research, communication, and teamwork.
🔹 Eligibility: High school & 1st-year undergraduate students 🔹 Team Size: 4–6 students + 1–2 adult team leaders 🔹 Format: Mathematical research & debate 🔹 Problem Set: Released around one month before the tournament, giving teams approximately one month to work on the problems
🔹 Tournament: 24–31 January 2027 🔹 Venue: Tsaghkadzor, Armenia 🔹 Online: 🌐 Available for teams unable to travel

An official petition regarding the controversial ISI bill by members of the ISI community (including students and faculty) is being submitted very soon, so if you wish to support it, please sign it as soon as possible.
According to the petition, the proposed Central Government bill would undermine the autonomy of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), push it toward commercialization for making profits and damage the institute's long-standing academic reputation. The petition also states that many ISI professors, students, and alumni are strongly opposing the bill and are urging the government to reconsider it.
If you care about the future of one of India's premier institutions for mathematics, statistics, and theoretical research, please take a little effort to sign the petition and sharing it.
