Procrastination is the enemy of discipline.
Procrastination means avoiding doing a task that needs to be done by giving excuses to do it later. Without giving excuses, you will feel bad, and we don’t want to feel bad, so we give different types of excuses. The most
popular one is “I’m waiting for the right time.” The time will never be right;
it can’t be perfect. There are always going to be obstacles in your way.
Many things will try their best to make you lazy and procrastinate, but you must overcome all of them.

one is LovableSEO and the other is PageSpeedInsights.
LovableSEO looks into the seo deeply —- it applies all the google ranking rules from :
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/ranking-systems-guide
today, I got busier with something else - and couldn't deploy it - the backend of LovableSEO is built with Nodejs/Express + Postgresql ( my usual stack ).

I’m not telling you not to avoid all fun in the present entirely, but
sometimes short sacrifices are necessary for a better future.
Have a nice Friday.

Coding is not just about watching tutorials — it’s about trying, failing, debugging, and trying again until things finally click.
I enjoy practicing on Coddy.tech — the vibe there really pushes you to think instead of just copying solutions. Every challenge feels like a real step forward.
From understanding functions and loops to solving problems like dynamic inputs and even tackling projects like “FizzBuzz with a Twist” — it’s all about building the mindset, not just the code.
Progress in coding doesn’t come from comfort. It comes from confusion, mistakes, and persistence.
Still learning. Still improving. Still breaking things 😄

People really underestimate themselves.
they do something small then an opportunity shows up… and instead of stepping in they step back thinking “I’m too early for this” or “this isn’t for me yet” even when they’re fully capable.
and when someone older or “ahead” does something big, we label it as something meant for them not for us..like growth has an age requirement. But the reality is.. most of the limits are self made.
we keep ourselves small by matching the pace of people around us, by thinking like our peers, by doing just enough because “everyone else is doing the same” and slowly that becomes our comfort zone.
we say “we still have time” and maybe we do. but why wait?
why not do more now.. solve things now..show up for ourselves and even for our families now?
if we push a little further, step a little outside what feels “normal” we’re capable of way more than what our age, level or environment tries to define for us.
maybe we’re not “too early” maybe we’re just holding ourselves back.

Securing another offer on Upwork from a returning client is a strong reminder that freelancing is built on more than just winning the first contract.
Getting noticed on platforms like Upwork takes effort, but earning repeat work comes from delivering value, maintaining clear communication, and building trust through results.
Every new project is important, but repeat opportunities reflect something even more valuable: confidence from the client and proof that consistency matters.
Grateful for the continued opportunities and focused on building long-term professional relationships through quality work.

Every new day gives you a chance to level up and grow closer to your dreams. Stay consistent, put in the work day and night, and keep believing in your vision. What once felt like a distant dream will slowly turn into your reality.
Don’t rush the process—progress is built step by step. Keep going, even when it’s hard. Your future is shaped by what you do today.

Vercel, which has just (on April 19, 2026) been the victim of a hack followed by a data leak. The attacker, claiming responsibility for the attack and nicknamed ShinyHunters, has put this same database up for sale in exchange for 2 million dollars.
Another leak among many others, one might think, as at the moment it is really becoming a trend.
But this leak highlights the advances in Al, their rapid progress regarding cybersecurity and their ability to bypass security systems.
I wonder to what extent this wave of cyberattacks will accelerate in the future?
To what extent will Al advances make hackers even more efficient and dangerous?
And to what extent can we personally protect ourselves from it?

Can you guess where you are?
it has been a while since I coded with golang and I didn't want to feel like an impostor at the GopherCon Ethiopia that's to be held this upcoming saturday afternoon. [details here] so I felt like I needed a simple side project involving golang.
well also I love travelling. so I recreated GeoGuessr, the Ethiopia version. if you have never played GeoGuessr before, it is a simple online game where you are shown a random street image and you guess the place.
the problem I encountered when limiting it to Ethiopia is we don't have that many street images. I have tried to add as many places as possible. some of them are even outdated by five or more years. I will be adding more as I find them. it's open source, so you can add too.
multiplayer is also supported. you can play with your friend who always brags he/she never misses any place in Ethiopia.
do check it and leave your comments. I would appreciate it if you leave me stars on github too :)

OH my Linux! 😂
Guys… Linux is so messy — ever since I started using it, it’s been driving me crazy. One minute I feel like I’m in a movie, the next minute I’m fighting for my life in the terminal 😭
Like why do I have to type 10 commands just to fix one tiny thing?? 💀
But also… I can’t deny it… there’s something cool about it. Sitting in the terminal feels powerful, like I control the whole system with just a few commands. No unnecessary stuff, just me and the machine.
Then suddenly — BOOM — one small typo and everything collapses. Now I’m googling errors that look like ancient spells 🧙♂️
Linux really said:
“Become a genius… or suffer trying.”
Still… I kinda love it 😅

Devs ! You need to hear this.
"Opportunities don’t find the best — they find the visible."
And that’s where most developers get it wrong.
There are so many developers with insane talent and skills —
but they stay invisible.
They spend months… even years… preparing.
Learning in silence.
Waiting until they feel ready.
Meanwhile?
Some junior developers with basic skills are showing up,
sharing their work,
building in public,
talking to businesses…
And guess what?
Opportunities find them.
So, don’t trap yourself in endless preparation.
Coz If you can build & solve a problem - then you're ready…
Go out and market your skills.
Every senior developer you admire today -
They didn’t wait.
They applied early.
They failed.
They learned on the job.
And here’s the reality:
If you don’t share your work,
if you don’t build a portfolio and apply for jobs,
if you don’t talk to businesses…
How in the world will people know you can build?
Yes — it’s uncomfortable for many of you.
But if having uncomfortable conversations feels hard…
the results of avoiding them are much worse.
So do the uncomfortable:
Talk to businesses.
Apply for jobs consistently.
Talk to people in the industry.
Network more.
And remember:
"Your network is part of your net worth."
.
.
.
Share this with other fellow devs... coz they need to hear this !
