Engineering Fact: The Burj Khalifa Did you know? 🤔 To manage the extreme wind loads at such a height, engineers designed the Burj Khalifa with a "Y" shaped plan. This "buttressed core" structural system not only supports the world's tallest building but also helps "confuse" the wind, preventing organized vortexes from shaking the structure.
