spots is on Android ✨
@thebludragon built spots and it's become one of my go-tos for finding where to go in Addis, so I figured it deserved an app.
Swipe through 400+ date spots, see what's on this weekend, and find what's near you and take your girlfriend 😁, or find a date to take as well
P.S also on a solo date 😂.. for people like me

Welcome to APP Livery 🤩
These days, every app can be built in days, so it's not all about implementation anymore, cause that's where AI actually excels.
What makes you stand out is your care for design.
And let's be honest, most of the apps that were made over the weekends look like AI slop.
welp yooo boy kinda tried to get a solution for that, so you dont have to ❤️.
if design still matters to you , you can take inspiration from other apps that took month to build, and use that to refine yours.
you can copy the design psychology of any app now 🤩.
use that as a skill to improve yours.
ofcourse this wont replace the whole thing , but it can help you get started and put your foot on the ground of a good basement. ❤️
and dont mention the moral issues on this , trust me i know ☺️
link to the app will be shared soon 😐

I had the wonderful opportunity to accompany Sister Mena, founder of The One Heart Wholeness Centre, to the TGS Media Guramayle Awards press conference.
The event celebrated exceptional Good Samaritans from both our local and diaspora communities. It was an absolute honor to meet Biniyam Belete, the selfless founder of the Mekedonia Humanitarian Association.
Being in a room filled with people who dedicate their lives to serving others was deeply moving and inspiring. ✨🙏
Bro LinkedIn is not a real place😂😂 someone just stole my work one of my challenge videos and getting 650+ likes with it 😭 I'm jealous bro When I posted on LinkedIn I couldn't even get have that much engagement

🇪🇹 THE PRICE OF BEING FIRST
craftsmanship, connections over competence, and profit over purpose need to understand something.
You're not just building software. You're building something that represents us.
When a government institution or major Ethiopian company uses your system, thousands of people may depend on what you've built.
And when those platforms connect with international organizations, they become part of how others experience Ethiopia's technological capabilities.
That's a responsibility bigger than any contract.
What's even more frustrating is that we aren't short of talent.
Look at the people in our tech community who dedicate their time to teaching, sharing knowledge, organizing meetups, creating educational content, and connecting talented individuals. They're motivating beginners, opening doors for young developers, and helping build a stronger technology ecosystem. To everyone doing this, genuinely, thank you. Your contributions matter more than you might realize.
And that's what makes me question the situation even more.
We have capable developers, creative designers, experienced engineers, and people building incredible things.
So why do some of our most important digital systems still fail to reflect what we're capable of?
Maybe the problem isn't a lack of talent.
Maybe it's that we've allowed reputation to replace accountability.
Because at the end of the day, being first should be something you're proud of, not something you hide behind.
And a company shouldn't be remembered simply because it entered the market early.
It should be remembered for what it built.
To be continued... 🇪🇹
Part 2 — The Talent We Have, the Value We Ignore.
What do you think? Are we giving enough importance to quality and actual results when choosing who builds our digital systems?
@philofix
Part 1 of 3 — When Reputation Overshadows QualityBeing first gives you an advantage. But it shouldn't give you a lifetime pass on quality. There's something about Ethiopia's tech industry that's been bothering me for a long time. Some software development companies and independent technology providers entered the market when opportunities were limited and the industry was still finding its feet. They built connections, earned recognition, and became trusted names among major businesses, government institutions, and organizations. And they deserve credit for being there early. But somewhere along the way, did we start confusing being well-known with being capable? Think about it. A major institution invests a substantial amount of money in a digital system. The project goes to a familiar name, someone with the right connections and an established reputation. Months later, the product arrives. Outdated interfaces. Frustrating user experiences. Poor performance. Systems that barely reflect what modern technology can deliver. And the question is: How can we justify expensive technology projects that deliver so little value? Sometimes, it feels like the competition isn't about who can build the best product anymore. It's about who knows the right people. And when reputation keeps bringing opportunities regardless of results,
what incentive is there to improve?I'm not saying every established provider operates this way. Many are doing remarkable work. But those who prioritize contracts over

As a person who takes a lot of screenshots especially movies i would like to watch or some message i want to save it bothered me that there is no way to sort them, atleast that of i know (lazy to search about it lol) but not lazy to build it.
Introducing Snapsort. Sort your screenshots in a classy way 😁

hey everyone, how are you all doing.
i know i haven't been sharing much lately and i genuinely feel bad about that. work and class has been a lot and i didn't want to just post for the sake of posting without actually giving you something useful.
but i have been thinking and i want to do something for this community. so here it is i am hosting a poster design competition every week.
the prize is 50 stars⭐️. i know it's not a lot. but i don't want you competing for nothing and i want it to mean something. so alongside the prize i will personally give feedback on every submission, and i am bringing in designers from the community i know to judge and give you real suggestions on your work.
this is not just about winning. it's about learning, getting feedback from real designers, and pushing your skills in a way that actually benefits you.
but first. are you in? how many of you would participate, 15 🔥 reacts and i will procced with it and let you know about the details soon.
