Congenital hypoparathyroidism (CH) can be part of several syndromes, with prominent examples including
Sanjad-Sakati Syndrome (SSS) (hypoparathyroidism-intellectual disability-dysmorphism),
DiGeorge Syndrome (also 22q11.2 deletion),
Kenny-Caffey Syndrome,
and Barakat Syndrome (HDR Syndrome) (hypoparathyroidism-deafness-renal disease)
Sanjad-Sakati Syndrome (SSS) is a rare, autosomal recessive genetic disorder, primarily found in people of Arab descent, characterized by congenital hypoparathyroidism, severe growth failure, facial dysmorphism (long face, deep-set eyes, beaked nose), developmental delays, and seizures due to hypocalcemia
