Final Fantasy Versus XIII was supposed to be a sub-title in the long running JRPG series for PlayStation 3.
First announced in 2006, it disappeared from the scene for years, and in 2013 it was announced the game director changed and that the game new name was Final Fantasy XV, separating it from the XIII's franchise.
The old trailers showed a much different game from what was the final product, and that's due to the long development (9 years!) and internal disagreements on the game's directory.
