Give me a wall
Not paper, not canvas,
but a vast, forsaken wall
standing alone in the middle of nowhere.
I need it.
I need a place big enough
for everything trembling inside my hands.
For the colors that bleed into each other,
for the lines that tremble,
for the dots that scatter like broken thoughts
until all of it
drowns
into black.
I don’t want to paint anything specific.
I only want the rush,
the fever,
the violent need to release
what I can no longer hold.
There is a war inside me,
a chaos without mercy,
a soft, quiet destruction
that keeps asking to be born.
So give me a wall
as wide as the world,
so I can tear myself open upon it.
Let me be its god
to create,
to ruin,
to abandon.
Isn’t that what gods do?
Raise a universe with trembling hands,
then walk away
as it aches,
as it collapses,
as it dies
the way something inside me
dies
every
single
day.
