🦆 DuckDetector — Evidence. Not assumptions.
DuckDetector is an open-source Android environment detection tool. Its 15 detectors — covering everything from the bootloader and TEE to Zygisk, LSPosed, mount anomalies, and more — look for evidence of root, hooking, tampering, and virtualization using Kotlin alongside native C++ and assembly probes.
It supports Android 10 and later and does not require root access. Scans run locally on your device, and every finding is backed by the evidence that produced it.
🔒 Responsible disclosure
When we discover a new detection vector, we first report it privately to the developers of the affected root, hooking, or modification solution. We disclose the detection publicly only after the issue has been addressed, helping improve the ecosystem without unnecessarily exposing active detection techniques.

DuckDetector is built around an open and collaborative community. Bug reports, ideas, feature requests, and pull requests are always welcome. A new detector can be scaffolded with a single command, making it easier for contributors to extend the project while following the existing architecture.

Duck Detector is considering registering as a WeChat developer in order to improve detection of modules that spoof or tamper with Tencent Soter.
However, to reduce the risk of abuse and prevent the verification mechanism from being trivially bypassed, we are considering moving part of the Soter verification logic to a server-side service. This server-side component would not be open source.

source-path only tells ShellCheck where to look for sourced files. It reads them only with external-sources, so the Module scripts job still reported SC1091 for customize.sh and service.sh.
