During the match, Iranian player Mohebi made a symbolic gesture imitating shooting with guns, directed towards spectators/supporters wearing T-shirts that displayed the names and pictures of individuals killed by the Iranian regime on January 8 and 9. This gesture constitutes a clear political statement and provocative act, aimed at victims of the regime and their supporters present in the stadium. It is highly inappropriate in the context of a football match and appears to violate FIFA’s regulations on political gestures, discrimination, and bringing the game into disrepute.
