✅ STEP 7: Wait for eligibility confirmation The college may review your medical qualification and supporting documents before confirming your eligibility. Check your inbox and spam folder regularly. Respond promptly if the college requests additional information. ✅ STEP 8: Book your Pearson test-centre seat After the relevant application and eligibility stages, follow the instructions provided by your college and Pearson. You may receive a separate email explaining how to access the Pearson booking portal and select an available test centre. Choose your preferred location as early as possible once the booking window opens, because seats can be limited. Remember: Applying through a college and booking your actual test-centre seat may be separate steps. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔹 4. Important points for international candidates 🌍 Candidates from all countries: Check the availability of test centres and the applicable arrangements for your examination diet. 🛂 Visa requirements: If you need to travel to another country to sit the examination, check visa requirements early. Do not assume that registering for the exam guarantees a visa or a seat at your preferred location. 🎓 Medical degree eligibility: If your medical school or qualification is not clearly recognised, contact the relevant college before applying. 💳 Fees and refunds: Review the cancellation, refund and transfer policies before making payment. 📧 Official communication: Keep all emails, receipts, application references and booking confirmations. ⚠️ Never pay unofficial agents who promise guaranteed registration, eligibility or examination seats. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔹 5. Official resources worth bookmarking 🌐 Intercollegiate MRCS examinations: https://www.intercollegiatemrcsexams.org.uk/about-the-mrcs/applying-for-the-mrcs/ 🌐 Pearson MRCS examination information: https://www.pearsonvue.com/us/en/icbse.html 🌐 RCS England examination information: https://www.rcseng.ac.uk/education-and-exams/exams/search/intercollegiate-mrcs-part-a/ These resources can help you verify the application process and obtain the latest official instructions. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎯 My advice to every candidate Before you register: 1. Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements. 2. Choose your preferred Royal College. 3. Prepare your documents in advance. 4. Check the examination deadline and fees. 5. Complete your application early. 6. Follow the instructions for booking your Pearson test-centre seat. Good planning can help you avoid unnecessary delays and last-minute registration problems. 💬 Have you registered for MRCS Part A yet? Comment below and tell us which country you are applying from! If you need a separate guide on examination fees, eligibility requirements, available test centres or preparation resources, let us know in the comments. Share this post with colleagues who are planning to take the MRCS examination. Wishing every candidate the very best in their surgical journey! ❤️🩺 Dr. Ahmed Adlan

📢 HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE MRCS PART A EXAMINATION — STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE 🌍🩺 Planning to take the MRCS Part A exam but unsure how to register? This guide explains the registration process, from choosing a Royal College to completing your application and booking your examination seat. Save this post and share it with colleagues preparing for their surgical careers! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔹 1. What is the MRCS Part A examination? The Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (MRCS) is a postgraduate surgical qualification recognised by the four Surgical Royal Colleges in the UK and Ireland. MRCS Part A is a written, computer-based examination assessing: 📌 Applied Basic Sciences 📌 Principles of Surgery in General The examination is conducted in English and is a key step towards progressing to MRCS Part B (OSCE). ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔹 2. Choose ONE of the four Royal Colleges You can apply through any one of the following colleges: 1️⃣ Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England) 🔗 https://www.rcseng.ac.uk/education-and-exams/exams/search/intercollegiate-mrcs-part-a/ 2️⃣ Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) 🔗 https://services.rcsed.ac.uk/exams/book-an-exam 3️⃣ Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) 🔗 https://rcpsg.ac.uk/exams/mrcs-part-a 4️⃣ Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) 🔗 https://www.rcsi.com/dublin/professional-cpd/professional-exams/surgery/mrcs-part-a 💡 Important: You do not need to register with all four colleges. Choose one college and follow its application process. The examination syllabus and format are shared across the colleges. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔹 3. Step-by-step registration process ✅ STEP 1: Visit your chosen college's official website Open the relevant link above and find: Intercollegiate MRCS Part A Check the available examination diets, application deadlines, eligibility criteria and fees before proceeding. ✅ STEP 2: Create an online account If you are a new applicant, register for an account on the college's examination portal. If you already have an account, log in using your existing details. Use an active email address because important application updates and examination instructions will be sent to you by email. ✅ STEP 3: Select your examination date Choose an available examination diet from the official booking page. Before applying, confirm: - Examination date. - Application closing date. - Examination fee. - Available examination arrangements. - Any country-specific requirements. Do not rely on old dates shared on social media. Always check the current official examination calendar. ✅ STEP 4: Prepare your documents Depending on the college and your circumstances, you may be asked to provide: 📄 A primary medical qualification (medical degree). 🪪 A valid passport or other accepted identification. 📷 A photograph, if required by the application portal. 📑 An English translation of your degree, if the original document is not in English. 📌 Additional eligibility documents, if requested by the college. International applicants: Check whether your medical qualification is acceptable to the relevant authorities and the examining college. If you are uncertain about your degree's eligibility, contact the examinations department before paying. ✅ STEP 5: Complete the online application Enter your personal and academic details carefully. Make sure your name matches the government-issued photo ID you intend to present on examination day. Upload the required documents and review the application before submitting it. Some colleges require eligibility documents to be submitted separately by email, so follow the specific instructions provided by your chosen college. ✅ STEP 6: Pay the examination fee Complete payment through the official college portal using an accepted payment method. Keep a copy of your payment receipt and application confirmation. ⚠️ Payment alone does not necessarily mean that all eligibility checks and booking arrangements have been completed.

Read each question, try to answer it yourself, then check the correct answer and read the Explanation carefully to understand every part. If something isn’t clear, check IV Book or Reda Book (available on the channel). If it’s still confusing, text me anytime — I’ll explain it personally. 🔹 Step 2: Repeat, Repeat, Repeat After finishing eMRCS, go through them at least three times — repetition is the key to mastering the material. 🔹 Step 3: Move to Recalls Start with the month you’re sitting the exam, e.g., January recalls if your exam is in January. Then cover the rest from 2020 to 2025, and if you can go back to 2016, even better. This helps you identify the most frequently tested areas. Repeat them three times, especially the recalls from your exam month. 🔹 Step 4: Pastest (Optional) If you have extra time, go through Pastest. If not, no worries. 🔹 Step 5: Key Tips Don’t waste your time on textbooks. Don’t rely on AI — most MRCS questions require clinical reasoning, not just knowledge. Join a small study group for discussion. Also engage in large groups, share tough questions, and learn from others’ explanations. Don’t compare yourself to anyone; everyone has different circumstances. If you don’t pass on the first try, it’s okay. It’s just a step toward success, not failure. Keep pushing and stick to your plan. Remember: Your future is your responsibility. Wishing you all the best of luck and success! I’m always available for any questions or discussions. Best regards, Dr. Ahmed Adlan
