Islamic Will & Funeral Wishes Service
Masjid As-Sahabah is offering this service free of charge to help reverts ensure their funeral and burial wishes are clearly documented in accordance with Islam.
This initiative came about after witnessing cases of reverts being buried according to non-Muslim traditions, and some even being cremated, because Muslims were unable to claim their bodies and fulfil their rights as fellow Muslims.
You can complete the document, print it yourself on certificate paper, and arrange for it to be signed with the Imam.

This is an interview with a Muslim brother who is 70 years old, he was sentenced to death row and has been in prison for 40 years, he has had 5 execution dates. His story is very touching and inspirational.

Surah At-Taubah (9), Ayah (51)
قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَآ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَىٰنَاۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Say: "Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allaah has ordained for us. He is our Maula (Lord, Helper and Protector)." And in Allaah let the believers put their trust. [interpretation by Muhsin Khan & al-Hilali]

This highlights the reality that many reverts face before accepting Islaam.
It’s one of the tricks and deceptions of Shaytaan: once you recognise that Islaam is the truth, he tries to make you believe that you’re not ready to accept it because you’re not yet a perfect, sinless person.
He makes you feel as though you need to become the perfect person first, when in reality, accepting Islaam is the beginning of that journey.
This reminds me of a statement commonly attributed to Shaykh al-Albani (رحمه الله):
“The path to Allaah is long, and we proceed along it like a tortoise. The goal is not to reach the end of the path; rather, the goal is to die upon the path.”

Meaning of لا إله إلا الله (La ilaha illa Allaah)
There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah
The proof for this is the statement of Allaah in Surah Muhammad (47), Ayah (19)
فَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ
“So know that there is no deity that has the right to be worshipped except Allaah”
and Allaah says in Surah al-Hajj (22), Ayah (62)
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ
“That is because Allaah, He is The Truth (The Only True God that exists)”
