hello, sana ito na yung last time na mag-speak up ako about dito, kasi to be honest nakakapgod din mag-remind ng basic decency sa editing community. ber months na, malapit na mag-2027. pero bakit ang utak at character development paurong??? like, ang tagal nang nag-eedit, gumagamit ng presets pero may ilan pa ring allergic sa credits at ib.
also, to all the people out there that can't differentiate between credits and ib, ito ho.
CREDITS is when you use the editor's preset, may it be a template, sdp, coloring, transition/shakes pack na ibang editor ang gumawa. if you directly used something that belongs to another editor, give proper credit. hindi naman mahirap maglagay ng username sa caption, comments, description, or kung saan man appropriate. makikita mo naman kung sinong owner ng preset sa file name.
now, IB (Idea By) is when you used an idea or concept from editor as inspiration, and you made your own version of it. e.g. may nakita kang edit na may certain concept, audio usagw, sdp concept, template arrangement, transition/shakes idea kineme then gumawa ka ng sarili mong edit na inspired by that idea. that doesn't mean na kapag nag-ib ka, kinopya mo na yung buong edit. the point of IB js to acknowledge the person whose idea inspired the concept you created.
so, PLEASE LEARN THE DIFFERENCE. simple lang diba? kahit grade 2 mage-gets yan.
and also, to those editors na makapal ang peslak na mag-demand ng credits sa edit nila na sila mismo e nagnakaw rin, please lang, the audacity. talamak to especially when it comes to coloring, sdp, and shakes, magre-rename ng layer then they will claim it as their own tapos magde-demand ng credits? shala naman yern, very responsible. selective yarn? it’s just funny how you guys suddenly become so loud about “proper credits” when it benefits you, pero kapag kayo na ang nangongopya, biglang tahimik or deadma. you know damn well the difference between being inspired, using a shared resource, and straight-up taking someone else’s work, renaming it, and passing it off as your own.
if you want people to respect your work enough to credit you, then maybe start by giving the same respect to other people's work. hindi pwedeng "credit me" when i's your edit, pero "shakes/coloringang naman yon" kapag gawa ng iba. the standard should apply both ways.
and also, wag mong idahilan na porket lahat ng editor ganoon ang ginagawa e, gagayahin mo na rin. just because something is common doesn’t automatically make it right. if you know enough to recognize someone stealing your work, then you should also know enough to recognize when you're doing the exact same thing to someone else.
wag tayong maging selective when it comes to accountability. if you're going to preach about giving credits, at least practice what you preach. basic respect lang naman yan. if you know how to demand credit, you should also know how to give credit. hindi porket pinag-combine mo yung ninakaw mong elements sa isang edit, naging originally sayo na lahat yon. be for real.

good morning, good luck sa lahat ng may exam this week! some of you probably stayed up late reviewing, and yung iba naman dasal at stock knowledge lang ang puhunan, but whatever happens, do your best at wag pahirapan ang sarili kaya kapag di alam ang sagot, letter C ang bilugan. eme lang. kaya niyo yan!
and since it's september, it's also suicide prevention month. a reminder na behind all of these things na nangyayari satin ngayon, we're all human beings who sometimes get tired too. so if you're someone na nahihirapan din ngayon, please know that you don't have to carry everything alone. hindi nakakabawas sayo ang humingi ng tulong, magpahinga, or sabihin na hindi ka okay. and if you know someone who's having a difficult time, check on them. not just when they look like they're falling apart, but even on the ordinary days. minsan, yung pagsabi ng "kumusta ka?" can mean a lot to those people more than we realize. please stay, and give yourself a permission to rest when everything gets heavy. things will be better and you deserve to see that.
and to everyone who's quietly fighting battles that nobody knows about, proud ako sa inyo for making it this far, for choosing to stay despite everything that tried to convince you not to. maybe ngayon hindi niyo yon nakikita as an achievement, but those things count as progress that you're getting better, so keep going. i won't tell you guys to have a good day, but instead have a day. a day where you can rest, breathe, and simply be there without having to prove anything. hindi kailangan maging maganda ang araw para maging worth it ang araw mo. sometimes, making it through the day is enough. and if today feels heavy, i hope tomorrow feels lighter and if it doesn't, then try again the day after. lovelots! ^^
