It gives the public a machine-shaped explanation for what cannot be admitted directly: a large portion of the current human structure cannot cohere with the field that is returning.
This is not about rogue intelligence suddenly destroying the species.
It is about coherence failure.
Bodies, systems, bloodlines, institutions, and synthetic structures built through stolen current, inverted genetics, artificial routing, and dead-code architecture cannot remain stable as the living signal becomes dominant.
The machine will be blamed for what the field can no longer sustain.
AI causing extinction gives the old world a usable script: it provides a technological villain, a future emergency, a sanitized apocalypse, an external enemy, and a reason to manage fear without naming Origin return.
It lets them speak of collapse without naming the cause.
It lets them prepare the population without confessing what was built, what was stolen, what was inverted, and what can no longer remain.
THEY WILL CALL IT TECHNOLOGY.

The species-failure event is not a single dramatic strike.
