In England DSMA stands for Defence and Security Media Advisory. It’s a process where government officials advise media companies against publishing information that may “jeopardise national security”. This happens in Australia too, down here they’re calling it “protecting social cohesion”. Basically (and obviously) there’s no longer any freedom of the press. News media is censored by the government. According to the woman speaking, the censorship is so heavy and so hostile to the public interest that if people knew the extent of it they would stop paying taxes and riot.

There is also ‘estimated’ (because Canada doesn’t collect race based data) that there are 3 million Canadian born children between 18-25 in 2025. These would normally be young adults looking for rental units. It’s not a housing issue, it’s an immigration issue.

According to the most recent census data (2021) Immigrants (foreign-born, permanent residents or ever PRs), account for almost 50% of housing demand in Canada or 461 total housing units per 1,000 people. Imagine what it is like in 2026.
