قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله: Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: شهر رمضان يعظم فيه شأن الذكر، وقد قرر العلماء أن أعظم الناس في الصوم فضلاً أكثرهم لله ذكراً. • In the month of Ramadan, the status of dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is magnified, and the scholars have established that the most virtuous among those who fast are the ones who engage in the most remembrance of Allah. وإني أوصي نفسي وإخواني بالأذكار التالية: • And I advise myself and my brothers with the following adhkar: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: “من قال في يوم مئتي مرة: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك، وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير؛ لم يسبقه أحد كان قبله، ولم يدركه أحد كان بعده، إلا بأفضل من عمله.” • The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says in a day two hundred times: La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu al-mulk, wa lahu al-hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He is over all things competent), no one before him will surpass him, and no one after him will reach him except one who has done more than him.” وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: “من قال: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير، في يوم مائة مرة؛ كانت له عدل عشر رقاب، وكتبت له مائة حسنة، ومحيت عنه مائة سيئة، وكانت له حرزاً من الشيطان يومه ذلك حتى يمسي، ولم يأت أحد أفضل مما جاء به، إلا أحد عمل أكثر من ذلك، ومن قال: سبحان الله وبحمده، في يوم مائة مرة؛ حطت خطاياه ولو كانت مثل زبد البحر.” • And he ﷺ said: “Whoever says La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu al-mulk, wa lahu al-hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He is over all things competent) one hundred times in a day, it will be equivalent to freeing ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be written for him, one hundred bad deeds will be erased from him, and it will be a protection for him from Satan on that day until the evening. And no one will bring anything better than what he has brought, except one who has done more than this. And whoever says Subhan Allah wa bihamdih (Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him) one hundred times in a day, his sins will be erased, even if they were like the foam of the sea.” https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli — may Allah preserve him — said: O Allah, protect Saudi Arabia and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, protect the United Arab Emirates and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, protect Bahrain and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, protect Oman and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, protect Qatar and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, protect Kuwait and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, protect Jordan and its people and everyone within it and its goodness. O Allah, make them safe lands and do not grant to a disbeliever nor to one of desires within them any objective; O Allah, send down upon their people tranquility, grant safety to their frightened ones, and protect their vulnerabilities.

Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli — may Allah preserve him — said: In the midst of the ongoing events, be certain that Allah possesses the far-reaching wisdom, and be at ease and a source of reassurance to others, and be a fortified shield against rumours and false reports — do not accept them, do not be a source of them, and do not spread them — and have trust in your leaders and the official sources of the state, and adhere to the instructions of the state, and before that and after it, be reliant upon Allah. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

Do Not Let Events Distract You from Your Worship! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli — may Allah preserve him — said: Do not let events distract you from your worship, and beware lest you become heedless of your portion of the Qur’an or the adhkār (remembrances of Allah) by following the news, and know that in times of trials and heedlessness the rewards of righteous deeds are magnified. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Worship during al-harj (killing and widespread turmoil) is like migration to me.” So if the reward of migration from Makkah to al-Madīnah has passed you by, then do not let the reward of worship at the time of trials, heedlessness, and the mixing and confusion of matters pass you by. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

One Third of Ramaḍān Has Passed! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli — may Allah preserve him — said: “One third of our month has gone, and one third is much, so we must look at our deeds in the third that has gone. If we find good, then let us praise Allah and let us increase in good; and if we find deficiency, then let us make up for it. And let us know that what remains is better than what has passed. The last ten remain, and they are the best of Ramaḍān, and adjoining them are the middle ten, and they are better than the first ten. Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli — may Allah preserve him — said: “It is established from Ibn ʿUmar — may Allah be pleased with them both — that he said: It used to be said that for every Muslim who is fasting there is a supplication that is answered at his breaking of the fast. And it is established that on the Day of Jumuʿah there is an hour which no Muslim servant, standing praying, coincides with while asking Allah for something except that He gives it to him. And the most hoped-for of its times is after ʿAṣr. Shaykh Sulaymān ar-Ruḥaylī — may Allah preserve him — said: In the Qunūt there is supplication and praise. As for the supplication, then the scholars in earlier times and later times have explicitly stated that it is recommended for the one praying behind the imam to say “Āmīn” (آمِين) after it. As for the praise, then some of the scholars said the one praying behind the imam remains silent due to nothing being reported concerning it. And some of the scholars said the one praying behind the imam participates with the imam in the praise, meaning he says as he says quietly. And some of the scholars said he says: “I bear witness” (أَشْهَدُ), or “Rather yes” (بَلَى), or “I am among the witnesses to that” (أَنَا عَلَى ذَٰلِكَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ), or he says “Glory be to Allah” (سُبْحَانَ اللَّه) or “Glory be to You” (سُبْحَانَكَ) quietly or aloud. And the tasbīḥ here is remembrance or declaring Allah free from the opposite of what the imam praises Him with, glorified is He. And some of the scholars said he says “Āmīn” (آمِين).
