Information has been documented concerning the detention of women and their enslavement, accompanied by explicit threats of sexual violence and exploitation. Sexual violence and gender-based violence, including threats thereof, are strictly prohibited under international humanitarian law and international human rights law. Types of Violations • Threats of sexual violence and enslavement • Humiliating and degrading treatment • Psychological violence • Gender-based violence • Attacks against personal dignity Available information indicates that these violations were perpetrated by elements of the de facto authority. In one set of footage, on or around 21 January 2026, two videos circulated showing the detention of two Kurdish women fighters affiliated with the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) by armed individuals in the Deir ez-Zor area. The recordings show the women unarmed, detained, and under the complete control of armed men. During filming, statements were made by the detaining party indicating that the two women would be “offered as sabaya to Abu Mujahid.” Historically, the term “sabaya” has been used to refer to women taken as war spoils, including enslavement and sexual exploitation. In other footage, women are shown being detained as sabaya, sold, and the videos disseminated with the perpetrator applying his own voiceover. In the recording, he states: “We’ve brought you the strongest offer from your uncle, the sectarian. ‘Haflat’ for sale—the price of a hafla is the price of a radish seedling. Just a note: the ‘maids’ have AIDS. Whoever wants [one], contact me privately. You’re all welcome.” The language used against the female victims, as well as the manner in which they are presented and filmed, reflects a deliberate intent to humiliate, impose gender-based degradation, and inflict systematic psychological harm. Limitations • It was not possible to verify the exact location of detention. • The subsequent fate of the forcibly detained women remains unknown.🌐 Channel link: https://t.me/Syrdoc 📩 Report violations: https://t.me/Syrdocbot
The witness stated that he and his family were displaced from Afrin city following its occupation, first to Al-Shahba areas, then to Tabqa city, as a result of attacks carried out by terrorist factions affiliated with the de facto authority. On 18 January 2026, amid escalating mass displacement from Tabqa toward areas west of the Euphrates, the family left the city as part of a civilian convoy, using a civilian vehicle and heading toward Hasakah, due to security fears linked to their Kurdish identity and ethnicity. The convoy took a shortcut via Al-Mansoura road (Raqqa countryside), prior to the entry of Syrian Arab Army forces into the area. While passing through Al-Mansoura town, the civilian convoy was attacked at a temporary checkpoint set up by children from families of terrorist factions affiliated with the de facto authority, who: • Threw stones at the vehicles • Fired several shots over the convoy ⸻ ⚰️ Fatality: • The witness’s father • Sustained a direct gunshot wound • Transferred to a hospital in Raqqa city • Subsequently evacuated by ambulance to Hasakah • Died four days later in hospital due to severe injuries ⸻ 🩸 Injured: • The witness’s mother: Gunshot wound • The witness’s wife: Severe injury resulting in complete shoulder dislocation ⸻ 🚑 Medical and humanitarian sequence: • Medical staff at Raqqa hospital expressed security concerns due to the presence of de facto authority forces on the outskirts of the city • The witness and his wife were instructed to travel to Hasakah by their own means • The injured wife was transported in a civilian vehicle open from the rear • The journey from Raqqa to Hasakah lasted approximately five hours under heavy rain, which soaked the wounds and led to deterioration of the injured persons’ condition • Upon arrival in Hasakah, the wife’s injury had critically worsened • Due to further security deterioration, the family was instructed to leave Hasakah toward Qamishli • The wife underwent surgery immediately upon arrival in Qamishli • The witness’s father had been placed in the intensive care unit at Hasakah Hospital prior to his death ⸻ 🪦 After death: • The martyr’s body was transferred to Qamishli • The family attempted to keep the body in city hospitals for 24 hours only, awaiting the cessation of snowfall • All hospitals were overwhelmed with civilian bodies • The martyr was buried in Qamishli during snowfall ⸻ ⚖️ Documented violations in this incident: • Targeting of a civilian convoy during displacement • Gunfire based on ethnic grounds • Injuries and death among unarmed civilians🌐 Telegram channel: [https://t.me/Syrdoc] ✉️ To submit violations, contact: [https://t.me/Syrdocbot]

On Saturday, 31 January 2026, Al-Karama Square in #Suwayda witnessed large-scale demonstrations demanding the right to self-determination and separation from the terrorist government, following a call launched under the slogan “To Be or Not to Be.” Thousands of protesters from all components of the Mountain’s population participated, reaffirming the steadfast position of the Mountain amid recent developments. Key Messages and Demands of the Demonstration: • Decision-making belongs solely to the people of the Mountain; no one has the right to speak on their behalf except the leadership chosen by the community. • The demand for self-determination is an existential demand. • Liberation of villages occupied by the de facto authorities. • Release of forcibly disappeared persons held in the prisons of the de facto authorities. • The crime of genocide committed against the Mountain’s communities is not a page that can be easily turned; it will lead to a historic realignment of the Mountain’s position within its surrounding region. 💼Legal Basis for the Right to Self-Determination: International law, particularly Article 1 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1966), stipulates that all peoples have the right to self-determination and may freely determine their political status and pursue their economic, social, and cultural development.🌐 رابط القناة: [https://t.me/Syrdoc] 📩 للتبليغ عن الانتهاكات: [https://t.me/Syrdocbot]
A minor entered the church carrying a Qur’an and approached the altar in front of the iconostasis, beginning to recite some verses. Church officials and a number of worshippers approached him and asked him to leave, as the mass had already begun. He complied, saying “Peace be upon you,” and was later handed over to the security authorities without any security incident occurring. This incident is related to events on Friday, 23 January 2026, when a group of young Christians in the church displayed banners expressing their concerns about the ongoing attacks against the Christian community and their right to life and safety. These messages come after a series of violations and massacres targeting the Christian population in Syria since the de facto authorities assumed control, highlighting the continued attempts at suppression in all forms to prevent freedom of expression and the protection of civilian rights.🌐 رابط القناة: https://t.me/Syrdoc 📩 للتبليغ عن الانتهاكات: https://t.me/Syrdocbot
The young man, Elie Simon Takla, was deliberately shot by masked assailants who had been lying in wait for the vehicle he was in. They waited until his father exited the car and turned to open the back door and retrieve a bag before opening fire on Elie as he entered the building, resulting in his martyrdom. The perpetrators then fled the scene. ⚠️ The evidence indicates that this was not a random robbery attempt, but a deliberate targeted attack against him. The motive traces back to ongoing threats received by the son of the jeweler since an incident two years ago, when he faced an attempted fraud/assault inside the jeweler’s shop by two individuals. The two were later arrested by the police and sentenced to prison (it is said—but not confirmed—that one of them died in prison). Since then, the jeweler’s son has received continuous death threats from actors associated with the de facto authority. • The car used by the assailants was stolen, and the license plates were also stolen from a transport bus. • 🏴☠️ Syria has thus become a hub for gangs and terrorism, where acts of violence and threats against unarmed civilians on a sectarian basis are increasingly systematic and organized. A solidarity vigil was held at the Holy Cross Church in Damascus for the family of the martyr Elie Simon Takla . Participants voiced their rejection of a culture of crime and gangs, as well as the spread of weapons, and demanded their right to a dignified life. • 🕊️ In a solemn procession, the city of Mahardah bid farewell to the beautiful young man Elie Simon Najjar (Takla), where prayers were held over his pure body at St. George Cathedral before he was laid to rest in the town cemetery. May his memory be eternal, and may his soul rest in mercy and peace with the righteous and the saints. Deep condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.🌐 رابط القناة: [https://t.me/Syrdoc] 📩 للتبليغ عن الانتهاكات: [https://t.me/Syrdocbot]

of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior affiliated with the de facto authority, under the leadership of Abu Mohammad al-Jolani (Ahmed al-Sharaa), with the participation of tribal groups loyal to the authority, alongside foreign fighters known as “Muhajireen and Ansar,” and members of the Grey Wolves organization. Amid chants of “Allahu Akbar,” the aforementioned parties carried out collective field executions at point-blank range, in addition to beheadings by knife (slaughtering) against civilians and detainees from the Kurdish community, constituting a grave violation of international humanitarian law. The killings were accompanied by explicit calls to refrain from filming and to conceal the crimes, under the pretext of “not harming the state,” indicating prior awareness of the criminal nature of the acts and a deliberate attempt to destroy evidence. Examples of accompanying inciting statements (as recorded): • Calls to kill without documentation or filming. • Incitement to show no “mercy or compassion.” • Accusations that those documenting the crimes are “infiltrators against the state.” • Use of religious language to justify killing and concealment. These acts constitute: • War crimes under the Geneva Conventions. • Extrajudicial executions. • Grave violations of the rights of detainees and civilians. • Public incitement to violence and obstruction of evidence, amounting to criminal complicity. Public calls to prohibit filming are considered an integral part of the crime itself, as they represent an organized effort to prevent documentation and accountability. Recorded statements include: • “Don’t film… kill them without filming.” • “Fulfill your acts in secrecy.” • “Don’t film—these videos harm the army and the state.” • “For God’s sake, don’t film—may God protect our army.” • “Whoever films is an infiltrator against the state.” • “Do not show them any mercy or compassion.”🌐 رابط القناة: [https://t.me/Syrdoc] 📩 للتبليغ عن الانتهاكات: [https://t.me/Syrdocbot]
Incident details: On 26 January 2026, elements affiliated with the de facto authority abducted a Kurdish civilian from the rural areas of the city of Kobani, claiming that he was a fighter affiliated with the People’s Protection Units (YPG). As of the date of this documentation, the fate and whereabouts of the victim remain unknown. Legal characterization: This incident constitutes enforced abduction and a grave violation of the right to liberty and personal security, in contravention of international human rights standards, including the prohibition of arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance.🌐 رابط القناة: [https://t.me/Syrdoc] 📩 للتبليغ عن الانتهاكات: [https://t.me/Syrdocbot]
