No, not in the usual sense. Once a pattern is drawn and a break is signalled, the signal doesn't move or disappear. There are a few things that can still look like repainting.
Why it doesn't repaint
A peak only counts after
Pivot Right Bars (default 5) more bars have closed without exceeding it.
The MQL5 version only processes closed bars, so a neckline break is judged on a bar's close and never changes after that bar closes.
A confirmed LONG/SHORT signal stays on the chart. The outcome label can later change to TP1, TP2, FAILED or TIMED OUT, but the original signal does not move.
What can look like repainting
Late appearance. The pattern shows up about 5 bars after the second peak, but it is drawn back at the peak's original position. Scrolling back on history, it looks like the indicator called the top in real time, but it didn't. You can only act from the neckline break, which comes later still.
Forming setups can vanish. Before the neckline breaks, a pattern marked FORMING is removed if price goes past the stop level (the peaks plus the ATR buffer) or the break window expires. A newer double top on the same side also replaces an older one that hasn't broken. Once the neckline breaks, none of that applies.
Live patterns update by design. The zone stretches to the right, and the label changes as the pattern moves from FORMING to ACTIVE to success or failure.
Old patterns get cleared. Only the last Completed Patterns to Keep (default 12) stay on the chart, so older ones disappear. This only affects the display, but the dashboard stats still count them.
For backtesting
The dashboard win rate assumes you enter at the close of the break bar. If a bar hits both the stop and a target, it counts as a stop.
Reloading the chart or changing timeframe recalculates everything. The result should match what you saw live, except that anything older than InpMaxBars isn't scanned.
For live trading, wait for the break signal on a closed bar, and don't treat a FORMING pattern as a signal.
