Today, I, Samniont’s Eunseok, with Kasmadjaya’s Wonbin and Carrasco’s Eunseok started the adventure with a quick stop at the vending machine, carefully deciding which drinks deserved the honour of coming along, because apparently choosing a single button to press was much harder than anyone expected. Drinks in hand, the trip continued to the supermarket, where Eelje’s Sungchan found himself standing in front of the aisles, debating what was actually worth bringing home, while Edurne’s Sohee somehow discovered something interesting at every turn. Halton’s Anton kept the trolley moving, and Roesjad’s Shotaro made sure nothing on the shopping list was left behind. Together, they turned an ordinary grocery run into an afternoon filled with laughter, playful conversations, and little moments that made the day quietly unforgettable.

The sun isn’t even up properly yet, but the heat is already sitting on my chest like a wet dog. I’ve been driving for two hours with the windows rolled down, letting the salt air and the smell of bruised grass scrub the city off my skin. Loughrey’s Kak Sangah called me three times yesterday to ask if I’d check the scores. “They’re playing the LG, Anna. Top of the ninth, bases loaded!” I didn’t watch it then. I had three spreadsheets open and a cold cup of coffee dying on my sterile desk. So today, I bought a tickets for a minor-league game in a stadium that smells like stale beer, diesel, and sun-baked asphalt. I’m sitting three rows behind the home dugout, eating roasted peanuts and spitting the cracked shells. The scoreboard is missing half its lightbulbs, but every time the bat cracks against the leather, something in my ribs unmoors itself. I pull out my phone and text her a picture of the blinding stadium lights while showing the fact that I did it just right. Don’t you also think the same, Ilyes?

I miss you quite a lot, Ilyes. Enjoying life after taking a break from work made me feel like I could breathe freely again and was filled with a sense of freedom. Landing in Tokyo with Eunbi was the most surprising part of the trip because it wasn't entirely planned, but I truly enjoyed every moment of it. We went for a walk in the afternoon as the sun prepared to set over the ocean to the west, visited a small, charming shop, stopped at a restaurant to grab a bite, and finished off with a stroll around Tokyo Tower (I actually rode a bike there). It was truly beautiful what I saw with my own eyes, and we continued to explore many other things in the following days. (Oh.. I surely going to buy my siblings something than coming back home with empty hands.)

Pendleton's Winter, stood at the bow of the boat, letting the sea breeze play with her hair, while Twenty Fold's Jay, couldn’t stop pointing at the endless blue stretching beyond the horizon.
Visnja's Heejin, Twenty Fold's Hyunjin, Wyrmharrow's Intak, Eldraeth's Sungchan, and Twenty Fold's Eunseok, were the first to jump into the crystal-clear water, laughing as they challenged each other to swim farther. Hesserhine's Jiwon, and Wilkins' Choerry, followed not long after, floating peacefully beneath the warm afternoon sun.
Meanwhile, Finches' Yuna, preferred staying on the boat, quietly enjoying the view with a cold drink in her hands. Edurne's Sohee, wandered along the shoreline, collecting tiny seashells one by one. Hefflins’ Chaeryeong and Twenty Fold's Seoyeon settled beneath a beach umbrella, talking about everything and nothing at all.
Hjërt's Karina, spent most of the afternoon taking photos of everyone, making sure no smile went unnoticed. Eelje's Minju, buried her feet in the warm sand, Berthouven' Giselle, read a novel while listening to the waves, and Pendleton's Ningning, simply watched the sunset paint the sea in shades of gold.
By the time our boat sailed back to shore, we realized it had never been about choosing between the sea or the beach. It was about sharing one beautiful summer together seventeen hearts, seventeen stories, and one memory we’d return to every time we missed the ocean. 🏝️🌺🌤️ | 134 |
