Back in high school I used to have this friend named Robel. Or maybe “have” is the better word idk. But bro was genuinely a genius not in that exaggerated way people throw the word around. I mean actually gifted. He used to solve math equations in like a minute while the rest of us were still trying to understand the question itself. And the craziest part was how he explained things. He could explain the hardest concepts like you were 3 years old without making you feel dumb. Mathematics, physics, random educational stuff…his brain was just insane. Not even in one-subject type smart either. Bro was basically a geek in the best way possible. But what always stayed with me wasn’t only how smart he was. It was how humble he was about it. He never made people feel “less than” because they weren’t on his level. He just genuinely loved learning and somehow that energy spread to people around him too. I honestly learned a lot just from being around him. Even now I still catch myself thinking: “nah this isn’t enough.” “gotta try harder.” “remember what Robi said.” And whenever someone mentions a really exceptional academic person, for some reason my brain immediately goes: “that’s literally Robel.” I think some people quietly shape your standards without even realizing it. They make you take education, curiosity, and knowledge more seriously just by existing around you 🤍 Not through motivation speeches. Just through who they are.🤍 Wanna say thank you lol
