Let's continue with the piers. As you may have noticed, their structures are similar. I used the same modeling approach and the same Grasshopper scripts to create them. In this video, I tried to show exactly how they are similar and how they differ in terms of their geometry. Claude Code + Rhino MCP were used to create the video.

You’ve probably heard of Jifto, a Rhino plugin developed by Henning Larsen Architects. But they’ve now released a fairly detailed context generator that’s worth its own post. There’s a free version. The maps don’t cover every region in the world, but they cover nearly all of Europe, and they promise to add new countries as well. https://jifto.com/site/

The third pier is located between the other two I showed earlier. The axis of the district’s main street leads to it, and its primary function is to serve as an extension of the pedestrian area and a venue for concerts and other performances.

Today I’ll show you some renders fragments that I’m finishing up after upscaling the renders to 4K. This is usually necessary because upscaling at such a high resolution doesn’t handle small objects, text, and people’s faces very well. In the comments, I’ll post a few of the final renders that I’ve already shown, but in their original resolution. As for the post itself, I’ll start with the final image, followed by some of its individual fragments to make it easier to see where they come from. I should mention that each fragment is rendered at 2K in #comfyui to ensure sufficient detail, but the resolution itself is excessive for most cases. Therefore, when the fragment is reinserted to the image, it’s compressed, and some details may be lost -which is ok.

Another pier from this project (there are three in total). This one is intended solely for swimming and recreational activities, with no market area. It will be built on the site of the existing pier. A second swimming area is needed, first, because it is far from the first one (the distance between the piers is approximately 1.5 km), and, second, because swimming in this bay, despite the good water quality and the beach, is only possible in designated areas due to strong rip currents; you simply cannot enter the water anywhere along the beach - special areas with nets and lifeguards are required. In this situation, the piers help create such areas and serve as attractions.

Some of the most interesting images in this project - in terms of working on them - are the orthogonal top views, which were used as explanatory diagrams. First, a close-up render was created where only the piers without much of the surrounding, and then that render, along with a screenshot from Rhino showing color codes, was returned as an input to #comfyui to generate the second much more complex render. Of course, Nano Banana can’t perfectly interpret and render every color code on the first try, but that’s not the goal: if even one color code turns out well, that’s good enough. Then, as I described in my previous post, it’s collage > upscaling > inpainting for improving details. The images in this post are in the order they appeared in the workflow. And here’s the prompt, in case anyone’s interested: IMPORTANT: PRECISELY FOLLOW WHITE CONTOURS AND KEEP SIZE OF ALL ELEMENTS FROM THE ATTACHED IMAGE. KEEP CAMERA VIEW, PROPORTIONS, SCALE AND ASPECT RATIO OF THE ATTACHED IMAGE. for the first attached image make an Ultra-realistic architectural visualization with the next features: - use the second attached image for all the materials and surfaces as reference - colorful area in the middle of the first attached image is the park divided by zones which are corresponded to the colors: 1. light blue color is represented water 2. yellow color is represented beach 3. light brown colored zone is represented a biodiversity park organized with a grid structure where each grid cell is a different plants or surface as shown on a top side of the second attached image 4. grey colored zone is represented a public square primarily with a hard surfaces 5. rose area is represented a market 6. light green is represented a market picnic zone with a grass and palm trees islands 7. dark green is represented a city farm zone 8. red is represented a sport zone 8. dark blue is represented a commercial and touristic information zone Style & Rendering Quality: - Summer afternoon - Modern district is Hainan, China - Photoreal lighting, global illumination. low contrast early morning shot. Limits: - no cars

Today’s renderings. The screenshots from Rhino shown in the previous post were used as the basis for them + I've added a few textures for references. Everything was fed into the Nano Banana 2.0 node in #comfyui, followed by multiple generations for each view in 2K resolution. Then, a collage was assembled in Photoshop from the best parts of each generation (for example, in one generation the building itself turned out just right, while in another the textures of the sea and sand were perfect - these were combined, but in reality from smaller pieces); after which the image was sent back to ComfyUI for upscaling to 4K (lately I’ve been using the Magnific node for this task), followed by final processing in Photoshop (color and lighting correction, and regenerating small details and people for better quality). It usually takes me 2–4 hours to complete a single render, from the screenshot to the final result.

I’m planning to do a series of posts about the piers I designed for the master plan of the Dadonghai district in Sanya, China I’ll start not with the project itself, but with a photo I took in a floating fishing village near Sanya. This village served as the reference for creating the structure of the floating formation around the piers, and its modular grid of square cells became the basis for the geometric design of both the pier itself and the park next to it.

The first phase of my first project at OMRT is complete. On LinkedIn there’s something like an official post on this topic. It’s an extension for an existing in-house platform that grew out of an experiment I started in summer. The idea behind the extension is that you can take a building generated via main OMRT platform as a mass model, add details to its facades and other parts, analyse the result and then export everything to IFC. #myworkdiary

A test about how it is possible to present architectural idea, for which i took a project we designed in Coop Himmelblau last spring (2026). This video i made without any AI video models, 100% of code including soundtrack, but code of course was written with AI (Opus 5.5). In addition I used Rhino MCP to provide for AI agent precise 3D models we developed for the project.

This year at Coop Himmelb(l)au has been very interesting, and I’ve had the opportunity to design many exciting projects, as well as work on new workflows related to computational design, BIM, and AI. But it’s time to move on: next week I’m flying to Amsterdam, where I’ll start working in a slightly different field. This collage features samples of projects that I designed, modeled, and rendered over the past year at the office. #myworkdiary

I’ll also show you some of the brochure pages; the layout design was done in Claude Design, and some of the pages were created from scratch in Claude. For example, this applies to the selection of plants for landscape - they were all chosen by an AI agent, which also created the flowering charts and drew the icons.

A new project I worked on this summer with Ira Sorokina. It’s a school building in Omsk. For this project, I used Blender MCP to create some render materials and organize the files into collections. The building is located on a site that already includes an elementary school; the new building will be for upper grades. The client’s program was so dense that there was no need to think too much about the volume—the only option was to use all the available space within the triangular footprint. The 3D model was created in #rhino3D and #revit, and the renders were made in #blender with post-processing in #comfyui #myworkdiary

Today I’ll show a project I worked on at Coop Himmelb(l)au. It’s a neighborhood in Tashkent with a variety of functions, including housing, hotels, a spa, workshops, restaurants, and offices... In terms of design, I created the brick workshop pavilions with domed roofs, and some of the facade details for the other buildings — the spa was also my idea. In addition, all the renderings here are mine. #myworkdiary
