🇷🇺❌🇷🇺 - Reportedly, according to Chechen Opposition Sources a major security operation is underway across Chechnya, Russia, following reports of armed clashes between militants and Russian security forces.
According to Chechen opposition movement NIYSO, Russian security forces, including the FSB, have launched a large scale manhunt across several districts following reports of gunfire and armed confrontations on October 19.
Helicopters, military vehicles and armed personnel have reportedly been deployed across Grozny, Gudermes, Kurchaloy and surrounding areas. Security forces are allegedly conducting widespread vehicle searches, phone inspections and arrests, while some personnel have reportedly changed into civilian clothing to conduct undercover surveillance.
NIYSO claims that approximately 30 armed militants may be involved. At least two fatalities have also been reported, although none of these figures have been independently confirme so far.

⚡️🇺🇦🇺🇸🇳🇴 – The meeting between Ukrainian President Zelensky and U.S. Envoy Steve Witkoff in Olso, Norway, has begun.
Jared Kushner is expected to join virtually, and both the Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre are in attendance.
The meeting is meant to restart peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, at a time when relations between Washington and Kyiv remain very strained. Witkoff will also visit Moscow following the Oslo meeting.
