So I'll not think about every little thing.
So i can shut it all down and know that it belongs to me.
(Everything that you have to offer)
Can you make me so much comfortable with your presence that I become comfortable with taking you for granted?
I wish I never knew you.
But then I think, maybe that would take few things away from me. It would take few things I learnt, experienced.
Idk what to think about the things which went "not so good" for me.
Those things surely took away my peace, but what I'm left with can't just be a music taste. Means it has to do something more than that considering it's footprint in my memory.
A few weeks ago, I asked you all about your culture. A very interesting person showed up, she has the privilege of listening to these songs from her daadi (grandmother). She also shared her favourite singer: Girija Devi. So here it is.
This is "Kajri"
Folk songs from Uttarpradesh and bihar. Sung by villagers, especially women, to express emotions like love, longing, happiness during the rains.

YOU literally went from a literary grotesque fiction to a fucking kinky sex smut. S5 is 3/10 for me
"Being considered crazy by those who are still victims of cultural conditioning is a compliment"
Humans are social animals. We need validation, understanding. When we feel unheard, we retreat into imagination. We create someone who not only listens, but guides. And since it's our own mind, we make that figure perfect. The above all. The all-mighty.
I think that's how god first came to exist. Not as a discovery, but as an answer to silence. A human, alone, looked up and imagined a friend. One who assured him that he no longer needed anyone. That his loneliness was now sacred, because that’s where the almighty lived.
So instead of coping, we built a shelter. Not real. Not protective. But tempting enough to never want to leave.
