La electricidad es el sistema nervioso de cualquier auto moderno. Desde encender el motor hasta prender las luces o activar un sensor, todo depende de un entramado de cables que siguen un cĆ³digo de colores bastante universal. Conocerlos no solo ayuda a entender mejor cĆ³mo funciona tu vehĆculo, sino que tambiĆ©n evita errores graves al momento de hacer instalaciones, reparaciones o modificaciones.
š“ Rojo ā Positivo (+)
El cable rojo es el encargado de llevar corriente directa desde la baterĆa. Es el āalimentoā principal del sistema elĆ©ctrico. Siempre tiene energĆa, incluso con el auto apagado, por lo que cualquier contacto indebido puede provocar cortocircuitos, fusibles quemados o daƱos mayores. Es el cable mĆ”s crĆtico y el primero que se debe identificar al trabajar en el sistema elĆ©ctrico.
ā« Negro ā Negativo / Tierra (-)
El negro representa la masa o tierra del vehĆculo. EstĆ” conectado al chasis y sirve como retorno de la corriente elĆ©ctrica. Un mal contacto a tierra puede causar fallas intermitentes, luces que parpadean o sensores que funcionan mal. Aunque muchos lo subestiman, una buena tierra es clave para que todo el sistema funcione correctamente.
š” Amarillo ā Accesorios (IgniciĆ³n encendida)
Este cable solo recibe corriente cuando el switch estĆ” en posiciĆ³n de contacto o encendido. Se usa para radios, pantallas, tomas USB y otros accesorios que no deben quedar activos cuando el auto estĆ” apagado. Es fundamental para evitar que la baterĆa se descargue innecesariamente.
šµ Azul ā Accesorios elĆ©ctricos (Remoto)
El azul suele utilizarse como seƱal de activaciĆ³n. Es comĆŗn verlo en sistemas de audio, amplificadores o mĆ³dulos electrĆ³nicos, ya que envĆa una orden de encendido cuando el sistema principal se activa. No entrega mucha corriente, pero cumple un rol clave como āinterruptorā remoto.
š¢ Verde ā Sensores (Varios)
El verde estĆ” asociado a sensores y seƱales de control: velocidad, temperatura, presiĆ³n, nivel de combustible, entre otros. Estos cables transportan informaciĆ³n, no potencia, por lo que cualquier empalme mal hecho puede generar lecturas errĆ³neas o fallas en el tablero y la ECU.
āŖ Blanco ā IluminaciĆ³n (Faros / Tablero)
El blanco se utiliza principalmente para circuitos de iluminaciĆ³n, tanto exterior como interior. Faros, luces del tablero y retroiluminaciĆ³n suelen depender de este color. Un fallo aquĆ puede dejarte sin visibilidad o sin informaciĆ³n clara al conducir de noche.

Identificar correctamente cada cable no solo facilita el trabajo elĆ©ctrico, sino que tambiĆ©n evita daƱos costosos y problemas de seguridad.
