Dear 1st-year students Your school/department placement has been completed, and you can now check it. The placement was done based on the following criteria:  > Your preferences  > The school's intake capacity  > Your CGPA  & > A 20% female students quota  Those students whose academic status is "under consideration" can submit an application letter requesting probation (continued warning) if they want to continue to the second year and be assigned to a school/department as per his/her CGPA. If you do not want to continue, your "under consideration" status will be changed to "dismissed," and you can rejoin with the new students 2024/25 batch in the second semester next year. For those students with DO grades and whose academic status is not determined yet, your case will be reviewed when you come for registration and will solved. If your grades or academic status qualify you, you will be placed in a school/department according to your CGPA. A cut-off SGPA and/or CGPA for re-admission of an academically dismissed student shall be as follows: ● First year first semester student, who has been dismissed at the end of the first semester need to have at least SGPA of 1.25 to apply for readmission. ● A first year student dismissed at the end of the second semester with a CGPA of not less than 1.50 is eligible to apply for readmission. ● A second year student dismissed at the end of any semester with a CGPA of not less than 1.75 may apply for readmission. ● A third year and above student, dismissed at the end of any semester with a CGPA of not less than 1.85 maybe readmitted. ● A student who, for reasons beyond his control, discontinues his studies may apply for re-admission into the same program for any number of times that the maximum duration of stay in the program, counted from the date of first enrolment, has not expired or will not expire before completion of the program following re-admission. ● A student who has been dismissed due to academic reason shall not be re-admitted more than once regardless of transfer from any other university. @ASTU_Network

#Readmission Readmission is not a right but a privilege given to the student by the university. A student, who has been dismissed or withdrawn for reasons beyond his/her control, may have the privilege to be readmitted. Candidates in good academic standing wishing to discontinue their studies must fill in an official withdrawal form (in three copies). Unless there are compelling reasons, official withdrawal forms must be completed within 30 days of discontinuation of classes. A candidate who fails to comply with this requirement will only be eligible for readmission if he has a good cause for failing to meet the deadline. Cont . . . @ASTU_Network
