NEW: Young girl gets buried alive after digging a 6-foot-deep hole at the beach with a young boy in Fort Lauderdale. Devastating. After the hole collapsed, the boy was buried to his chest but the girl was completely covered. First responders and locals were seen frantically digging to get the girl out from underneath. By the time the rescuers got to her, she wasn't breathing. They rushed her and the boy to Broward Health Medical Center as they attempted to revive her. "We were conducting life-saving techniques to try to bring her pulse back, and it never did recover, and she was pronounced dead at the hospital," said Pompano Beach Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sandra King.
