Martyrs for Sale! by Thabet Al-Shami, published today in Al-Akhbar: — Today, more than ever, we must distinguish between those who work for Palestine and those who work through it. In times of war, the truth about people and groups, and their roles, becomes evident in the moment of truth. In this moment we live in, the first duty is to work as a collective, organize ourselves within frameworks that make an impact, and move under the banner of the group, the nation, and the major causes. At this specific moment, individualism and the crisis experienced by a large segment of Arabs and Palestinians are becoming clear to us, as they feel a crisis with the emergence and rise of the collective and the fading of the individual and the ego. Their narcissism senses danger. This segment shares similar cultural traits and class relationships, and they operate within the same environment. You recognize them by their relationship with authority, any authority—from the white man to His Majesty the King. Culturally, they blend Arabic with English to create a space welcoming to the "white," who is seen as the representative of civilization and capital. While we see the relationship with the martyr as one of trust and a journey of knowledge, where the martyrs address us as communities, not as individuals, others turn the martyrs into a commodity—a "decorative" art piece bought and sold, commodifying this legacy and blood, literally selling it to the wealthy. Paintings of martyrs are sold for hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on an English-language website for English speakers from the West and the East. The question here is, did the "artist" in question contact the families of the martyrs and obtain their consent to sell the paintings? And does she provide these amounts to the families of the martyrs? The answer is no, as I learned from the family and friends of the martyr Basil Al-Araj a few years ago, who contacted her and asked her not to sell or use them. Profiting as an individual, working in the public sphere as an individual, participating in the Jordanian princess’ such-and-such award...To them, the self is the most important thing. The name recognition, public relations, and prominence are their goals, and because these are their goals, they must maintain two things: not touching the authority or "the Tomato King," and, more importantly, attacking the organizational frameworks that fulfill their duty, defaming and accusing them, at a time when some Palestinian grassroots organizations ("Palestinian Youth Movement" and "Students for Justice in Palestine," among others) in America are engaged in an open battle with zionism and facing a fierce campaign accusing them of "terrorism" with the aim of eliminating, suppressing, and criminalizing them. 🚨 At a time when the IOF continues its perpetration of heinous massacres and genocide, normalizing Arab regimes continue to serve and defend the zionist entity. Yesterday, zionist newspapers revealed that "israel" decided to stop importing fruits and vegetables from Jordan due to the discovery of cholera. The volume of exports from Jordan to "israel" increased by 35% after October 7th, amounting to nearly $70 million. The Jordanian regime, after months of genocide, did not stop the exports themselves, despite months of popular pressure to do so. According to Safa News Agency, the UAE has arrested, tortured, fined, and deported dozens of residents due to their "electronic solidarity" with Gaza. In exclusive interviews, those affected revealed that possibly hundreds have been deported due to their support with Gaza, including Palestinians, Egyptians, Tunisians, Moroccans, and Algerians. An anonymous Palestinian resident in the UAE stated that three days after liking a friend's post on Facebook, he was imprisoned in a narrow and solitary cell with bright lights on him. "The investigators were asking me about Palestinian organizations, cursing them and their leaders with the most obscene insults, almost without exception, except for one organization that has a relationship with the state." After days of interrogation, he was fined $250,000 for liking the Facebook post, equivalent to what he earned over years of work in the country. An anonymous Tunisian man was abducted for two weeks for a tweet in solidarity with Gaza, condemning Arab and global inaction. He was interrogated about whether and why he sympathized with Gaza, as well as his position on the resistance. He was deported and fined $2,000. One Egyptian man was insulted after posting on Instagram and forbidden from raising his head in the cell, given only two pieces of bread a day. He was not deported, but was fined $3,000. In May, a PhD student was arrested and deported for wearing a kuffiyeh and saying "Free Palestine" at his graduation. These examples illustrate the deepening collaboration between the zionist entity and zionized Arab regimes, whose media today parroted zionist narratives to justify its massacres. They expose the extent to which these traitorous governments are willing to suppress solidarity to maintain their treacherous alliances.

Four weeks later in 1987, he was shot by masked PLO gunmen outside the Al-Qabas newspaper offices in London, betrayed by the orchestrators of Oslo. Shot in the eye, he fell into a coma, his enemies thinking that blinding him would blind his immortal vision for global justice. Naji ascended as a martyr on August 29th. Unity of Fields: Opening Up a New Front​​​​​​​ We are transitioning Palestine Action US into what it has become through necessity: a militant propaganda front against the US-NATO-zionist axis of imperialism. How could we have only "solidarity" with the people whose suffering and death are required by our Amerikan way of living? August 1974 - Interview with Comrade George Habash This interview originally took place in Arabic with Al-Hadaf on 3 August 1974, and includes a discussion of the results of the October War, the role of Arab regimes, and political developments within the Palestine Liberation Organization. “The capitulationist rulers will have no choice but to submit to the conditions set by U.S. imperialism. This will take place with the approval of the Zionist state which raises the slogan that « in return for every piece of land we should get a piece of peace. » The peace referred to here is the Zionist peace. It begins with the implicit recognition of Israel and ends with the Israelis shopping in the streets of Cairo.” George Habash’s vision reveals an unyielding clarity in understanding the imperialist strategy at play. He recognized that the so-called peace negotiations were nothing more than a façade for further entrenching Zionist and imperialist control over the Arab world. Habash anticipated that the Arab regimes, corrupted and weakened by their ties to U.S. imperialism, would betray the very cause of liberation they claimed to uphold. His analysis foresaw the normalization of relations with the Zionist entity as a tool for deepening Arab subjugation, transforming resistance into complicity. This vision was not merely a warning but a call to arms against the imperialist powers that sought to fragment and control the region, urging a continued and uncompromising resistance to safeguard the dignity and sovereignty of the Arab people. We see this today as Arab reactionary regimes have consistently inserted themselves in negotiations for a ceasefire or further entrenched themselves in their support for the enemy while maintaining doublespeak.

The Yemeni Navy has successfully targeted and set ablaze the Greek ship SOUNION in the Red Sea. This decisive action was taken in response to the ship’s owner violating the Yemeni Armed Forces’ ban on entering the ports of occupied Palestine. The operation underscores the commitment of the Yemeni Armed Forces to enforce this ban, warning that future violations by companies will face even harsher consequences. They also reiterated their stance against the “Israeli,” American, and British enemies, as long as the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people continues. Companies that comply with the ban will be allowed safe passage through Yemeni-controlled waters.

For those living the reality of occupation and exile, the Thawabit represent the unshakeable principles of justice, return, and resistance against colonial domination. These principles are not abstract ideals but lived realities that shape the daily lives of Palestinians. We see that the struggle for Palestinian liberation is intrinsically tied to the broader fight against global systems of oppression. The armed resistance of Palestinians is not just a reaction; it is a legitimate response to decades of displacement, apartheid, and genocide. It is a stance that demands recognition of their humanity and their inalienable rights. The return of all refugees is not just a demand; it is a red line, a non-negotiable right that cannot be compromised or erased by any agreement or normalization effort. The world must recognize that until every Palestinian is able to return to their home and live with dignity, the struggle will continue, and the Thawabit will remain the guiding star of the resistance. This is a truth that cannot be compromised, a red line that cannot be crossed. The return is not just a matter of principle but of survival, a rejection of the imperial hand that seeks to redraw borders with ink stained in blood. It is the cry of a people who will not be silenced, who will not surrender their right to exist, to resist. And resist they shall, for what is the alternative? To bow before the occupier, to accept the chains of colonization? No, the Palestinian spirit is forged in the fires of resistance, in the steadfast refusal to be erased from history. The world must understand: until every refugee returns, until every Palestinian can walk their land with their head held high, the struggle will endure, unbroken and unbowed. The tents may fall, but the spirit of return will rise, as eternal as the land itself.

In the stillness of the diaspora, where the echoes of Palestine's suffering wane, we must understand the insidious designs of those who hold the reins of empire. They seek to lull us into a serene forgetfulness, betting upon the passage of time to extinguish our burning resolve. Time, in its cruel dance, is not merely a pacifier; it is the silent thief of our humanity. Gone is the time of peaceful marches and thoughtless actions, where the whisper of our discontent might briefly stir the air but not shake the foundations of injustice. Now is the time for mass escalation and bold rage, where our voices must thunder like a tempest and our actions must blaze like fire through the heart of tyranny. These architects of oppression thrive in our complacency, savoring the gradual fading of our urgency. They weave the threads of our detachment, hoping that our hearts, dulled by the relentless march of days, will forget the cries of those who suffer. In their hands, time becomes a weapon, dulling the edge of our resistance and clouding the vision of our solidarity. Yet, we must remain ever vigilant, like watchful guardians of a flame that refuses to be extinguished. Let us not surrender to the deceptive embrace of time's passage, but rather let our spirits remain ardent and our voices unyielding. For in the face of oppression, it is our unwavering resolve that will shatter the chains and illuminate the path to justice.

This atrocity is not an isolated incident but a deliberate act of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people, driven by the colonial and imperial ambitions of “israel.” In the early hours of the morning, while the displaced gathered for the dawn prayer, the occupation forces unleashed their deadly bombs, turning a place of refuge into a graveyard. The sheer scale of the massacre has overwhelmed medical and rescue teams, who are still struggling to recover the bodies of the martyrs from the rubble. We unequivocally condemn this barbaric massacre and hold the “israeli” occupation and its imperialist backers, particularly the U.S. administration, fully responsible for this bloodbath. Their complicity in these crimes against humanity is undeniable, as they continue to provide the means and political cover for “israel” to carry out its genocidal campaign with impunity. The international community, international organizations, and the United Nations cannot remain silent in the face of this ongoing genocide. We demand immediate and decisive action to exert pressure on the “israeli” occupation to cease its crimes against civilians and the displaced in Gaza. What if we told you there was a higher stage in Islam than martyrdom? To you, child of the diaspora, who both envies and takes solace in the martyrdom of Palestinians, and in your sense of helplessness, long to offer your life for God’s cause (في سبيل الله). What if we told you that this sentiment is full of fallacy and self-deception? Especially considering martyrdom being so far from you and unattainable in the diaspora, where you cannot die on the field of battle. Especially considering a higher rank is available to you, within reach, that does not command your death. In our collective struggle against colonialism and imperialism, we often romanticize the idea of martyrdom, viewing it as the ultimate act of devotion. We see our brothers and sisters in Gaza facing oppression, and in our anguish, we long for their bravery, believing that martyrdom is the highest form of sacrifice we can offer. Let us be clear, martyrdom is and will forever be among the most honourable acts in Islam. But does that give us the excuse to watch from a distance as the living without action? Have we forgotten the wisdom of our faith? Have we overlooked the role we must play while we are still living? Allah (SWT), in Surah An-Nisa (4:69), outlines the ranks of those who are closest to Him: "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth (Siddiqin), the martyrs (Shuhada), and the righteous (Salihin). And excellent are those as companions." This verse serves as a reminder that there is a rank even higher than martyrdom—the rank of Siddiqiya, truthfulness. A Siddiq is not just someone who dies for the cause of Allah but one who lives for it every single day. It is a rank that requires a life of unwavering truthfulness, integrity, and dedication to justice. While martyrdom is honorable, Allah is showing us that there is something more encompassing—a life lived in full submission and truthfulness to Him. So, to those in the diaspora who long for the battlefield, realize that your battlefield is here, in your every action, every word, and every choice you make. This is where you achieve Siddiqiya. It is a fallacy to claim a desire for martyrdom when we, living in relative safety, are unwilling to do the bare minimum for the cause of Palestine. It is hypocrisy to yearn for the honor of dying in Allah's path when we ignore the opportunities to live in His path. Our role is not just to die في سبيل الله but to live في سبيل الله—in our advocacy, in our resistance against imperialist narratives, in our support for the oppressed, and in our commitment to truth and justice. Allah (SWT) wants us to live for His cause before we start thinking of dying for it. He has placed us in the diaspora not to escape responsibility but to fulfill it in a different way. Your martyrdom is in your steadfastness, your Siddiqiya is in your refusal to bow to colonial pressures, and your jihad is in your dedication to the Palestinian cause. It is in how you live your life every day in service to the Palestinian cause, not in merely wishing for martyrdom or succumbing to helplessness and inaction when it is not within your reach. Your role is clear and has been ordained by God. When you will face Allah (SWT), you will be asked: ماذا قدمت في سبيل الله؟ What did you give for the sake of Allah? What will you answer?

What’s Causing the Islamophobic Riots Across the UK, and Why Now? 🇬🇧 The recent Islamophobic riots in the UK are a result of a coordinated effort by Zionist elements, led by figures like Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, better known as 'Tommy Robinson.' Yaxley-Lennon has been associated with the State of "Israel" since 2009, playing a significant role in the so-called 'counterjihad' Islamophobia movement initiated by "Israel." His organization, the English Defence League (EDL), was incorporated in 2011 under the name the English & Jewish Defence League, highlighting its connections to the Jewish Defence League, a Zionist terrorist organization that has been involved in violent Islamophobic activities in the UK for over a decade. Yaxley-Lennon is a prominent figure in "Israel's" Online Influencers Programme, a response to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. Alongside others like Oli London, Noa Tishby, Hen Mazzig, Arsen Ostrovsky, and Emily Schrader, he is paid to distribute Zionist propaganda. Their efforts include opposing pro-Palestine protests and promoting Islamophobia, which are interlinked objectives. The current wave of Islamophobic riots should be viewed as the latest phase in "Israel's" broader strategy against British Muslims, who are seen as leading the protest movement in the UK. These riots are designed to retaliate against Muslims for their anti-Zionist stance after various other attempts by "Israel" to suppress opposition have failed. Efforts by "Israeli" assets in British politics and media, such as Suella Braverman and Michael Gove, to curb pro-Palestinian protests have been unsuccessful. Additionally, Zionist counter-protests have failed to mobilize significant support, and sporadic violence by Zionist groups and their allies, including Iranian secularist extremists, has not intimidated Muslims. As a result, "Israel" is now leveraging the white nationalist far-right, which has greater numbers than Zionist street groups or Iranian monarchists. There are also questions about who initially suggested that Muslims were responsible for the triggers of these events. While MI6 and its assets, like Paul Mason, attempt to frame this as a Russian disinformation operation, the original stories did not originate from Russia. The origins of these narratives remain unclear. This "Israel"-sponsored anti-Muslim pogrom has several objectives: 1. To punish Muslims for protesting against genocide. 2. To retaliate against the Labour government for its empty posturing over banning arms sales to "Israel." 3. To send a message to other states and leaders globally that the Zionist a movement will exercise extreme measures, including the Samson Option, if it perceives its interests are threatened. Is 'Tommy Robinson' a Zionist Asset? Many liberal Russophobes are uncomfortable acknowledging that 'Tommy Robinson' is a Zionist asset, partly due to their own Judeophilia. However, there is substantial evidence to support this claim. His legal fees have been covered by the Middle East Forum, a US-based 'think tank' that is essentially a front for Mossad. This, along with other Zionist financial support, has been well-documented, including in sources like the Guardian. There are also images of him armed atop a Merkava tank in 2016, wearing IDF and Mossad t-shirts during propaganda tours of Occupied Palestine, and the fact that his racist Islamophobic street movement was established as an arm of the terrorist Jewish Defence League. This reluctance to confront the overwhelming evidence of Zionist-sponsored Islamophobic influence operations is reminiscent of liberals’ desire to ignore the Zionist genocide in Palestine, which relies heavily on successfully manipulating the political and media landscapes of "Israel's" allies, including the UK, France, Germany, Canada, and the US.

No amount of words can describe the pain from witnessing these scenes once again. The earth trembles beneath the footsteps of the displaced, their homes reduced to rubble under the weight of oppression, their dreams shattered by the relentless march of a colonial power. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, for history repeats itself in a cruel cycle of blood and tears. The specter of 1948 haunts the land once more as families are torn from the soil that has known their roots for generations, forced to wander in search of refuge that the world refuses to offer. The cries of the innocent, echoing through the valleys, are drowned out by the machinery of occupation, fueled by the capitalist engines of greed and imperialist designs. This is a genocide under the banner of civilization, a conquest disguised as democracy. The weapons are funded, the bombs are manufactured, all in the name of profit, while the blood of children stains the hands of those who sit in air-conditioned boardrooms far removed from the carnage they perpetuate. Where are the so-called defenders of the Ummah? The Arab regimes, bloated with wealth and power, have turned their backs on their brothers and sisters, their hearts hardened by the spoils of complicity. They have traded their honor for palaces, their dignity for deals brokered behind closed doors. The betrayal is as palpable as the destruction that rains down on Gaza, and yet they remain silent, their tongues tied by the chains of their own greed. Yet, amid this darkness, there is a light that cannot be extinguished. Allah says in the Quran, "And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror." (Quran 14:42). The oppressors may think they have triumphed, but their time is coming, and justice will be served in ways they cannot imagine. The land of Palestine is soaked with the blood of martyrs, but it is also fertilized with the seeds of resistance. The spirit of the people cannot be broken, for they know that their cause is just, and their struggle is righteous. As long as there is faith in their hearts and the courage to stand, they will rise again and again, until the chains of occupation are shattered and the land is free. This is not an end, but a beginning—a renewal of the promise that Palestine will endure, that its people will return, and that the tyrants will fall. The pain of today will be the strength of tomorrow, and the land that has seen so much suffering will once again echo with the laughter of children, free and unafraid. Long live the resistance.
