And I did them not of my own accord. That is the interpretation of those (things) over which you could not hold patience. - Number 2: [Surah An-Nisāʾ: 9] { وَلۡیَخۡشَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَوۡ تَرَكُوا۟ مِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ ذُرِّیَّةࣰ ضِعَـٰفًا خَافُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِمۡ فَلۡیَتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلۡیَقُولُوا۟ قَوۡلࣰا سَدِیدًا } And let those (executors and guardians) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own, if they had left weak offspring behind. The Blessing Of FOOD & DRINK! We should praise Allah with varied praises just as we eat varied types of dishes ________ Here are Six ways to praise Allah after mealtimes: 1⃣. Abu Umāmah radiyallahu ‘anhu said: “When the table spread of the Prophet ﷺ was raised [i.e. When he completed eating], he said: ((الحَمْدُ لِلهِ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلاَ مُوَدَّعٍ وَلاَ مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ، رَبَّنَا)) "Abundant praise be to Allah which is pure, blessed and not considered to be sufficient. Our Rabb is never abandoned [i.e. People constantly beg from Him] and He is always needed." [Sahih Bukhari] 2️⃣. Abu Ayyub radhiyallahu 'anhu said that when Allah's Messenger ﷺ ate or drank he said: ((الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَ وَسَقَى وَسَوَّغَهُ وَجَعَلَ لَهُ مخرجا)) “Praise be to Allah who has given food and drink, made it easy to swallow, and provided an exit for it.” [Reported by Abu Dawud and others - Graded Saheeh by Shaykh Muqbil in his Saheeh Musnad collection] 3⃣. Mu’adh ibn Anas radhiyallahu anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “He who consumes food and says at the end: ((الحمد الله الذي أطعمني هذا، ورزقنيه من غير حول مني ولا قوةٍ)) "All praise is due to Allah Who has given me food to eat and provided it without any endeavour on my part or any strength." All his past sins will be forgiven.” [Reported by At-Tirmidhee and others, and declared authentic by Albany rahimahullah] 4️⃣. A man narrated that whenever food was brought to the Prophet ﷺ He would say bismillah and when He would finish eating He would say: ((اللهمَّ إنَّكَ أطعمتَ و سقيتَ، وأغنيتَ وأقنيتَ، وهديتَ و;جتبيتَ، اللهمَّ فلكَ الحمدُ على ما أعطيتَ)) "Oh Allah you have fed, gave drink, enriched, granted ownership, guided and chosen for your favour. Therefore, Oh Allah for you is praise for what you have provided." [Saheeh al-Jaami' #4768] 5️⃣. Narrated by Abu Huraira: A man from the Ansar invited the Prophet ﷺ. He said: We went with him, and after we had eaten and washed our hands, he said: ((الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ ، مَنَّ عَلَيْنَا فَهَدَانَا وَأَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا ، وَكُلَّ بَلَاءٍ حَسَنٍ أَبْلَانَا، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ ، وَسَقَى مِنَ الشَّرَابِ ، وَكَسَا مِنَ الْعُرْيِ ، وَهَدَى مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ ، وَبَصَّرَ مِنَ الْعَمَى ، وَفَضَّلَ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ تَفْضِيلًا ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ)) [Reported by Ibn Hibban and others. Graded Saheeh by Shaykh Muqbil rahimahullah in his Saheeh Musnad Collection] 6️⃣. Anas radhiyallahu anhu reported: Whenever the Prophet ﷺ went to his bed, he would say: ((الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا، وَكَفَانَا، وَآوَانَا، فَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لاَ كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلاَ مُؤْوِيَ)) "Praise is to Allah Who has provided us with food and with drink, sufficed us and gave us an abode, for how many are there with no provision and no home." BENEFIT 196: Avoid Using The Gregorian Calendar As Much As Possible Sheikh Abdulhamīd Az-Zu'kari ḥafidhahullāh: "Using the Gregorian Calendar in Shari'ah related matters is something we advise to avoid and refrain from. If a person has to refer to it, they should begin with the Hijri calendar followed by the Gregorian. This is because many people and countries have come to rely on the Gregorian calendar. However, the fundamental principle is that we should record events according to the Hijri calendar, which Muslims have historically used to organise their affairs." __ Question 2 from Fatwa No. 20722 [Lajnah Ad-Dā'imah] Q2: What is the ruling on using the Gregorian calendar when dealing with those who are not familiar with the Hijri calendar, such as non-Arab Muslims or non-Muslim colleagues at work? A2: It is not permissible for Muslims to use the Gregorian calendar, as it resembles the practices of Christians and is one of the symbols of their religion. Muslims, praise be to Allah, have their own calendar which is sufficient for them and connects them to their Prophet ﷺ, and this is a great honor for them. However, if necessary, both calendars may be used together. And Allah grants success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions. Beware of wearing clothes that have a cross on them! عن عَائِشَةَ رضى الله عنها أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَتْرُكُ فِي بَيْتِهِ شَيْئًا فِيهِ تَصَالِيبُ إِلاَّ نَقَضَهُ‏.‏ A'ishah (may Allāh be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet ﷺ would not leave in his house anything containing crosses except that he obliterated it.
