Uncertain if I was using it the right way or wrong way — but honestly, it doesn't really matter as long as you use it. There is no correct way to use AI for coding, work, education, or any direction. Everything is uncertain right now. You are not alone. There are no 100% true guides on how to use it effectively either. But if you don't start today or soon, you might become a typical consumer of it in a couple of months. It's the same as the internet revolution-era. People who started earlier could make a transformation, build companies, while the rest became normal consumers — 95%. The best way to start is just to try and explore: listen to podcasts, download AI tools, simply ask Claude. People are just prompting to build websites, companies, or sell services. You don't have to be technical anymore to start. AI is not just a trend, it's a huge transformation, and it's going to change economies and businesses. People are already seeing this technology do the same work 5x faster and cheaper. Why would anyone go back? They won't. So what are we waiting for? Starting is important, but "how" is secondary — not even a topic to consider.

a few years ago, we used to run around uzbekistan, thinking we were smart and cool but mann, the things we are going through right now, leading entrepreneurship clubs at nyu shanghai, winning case competitions at nyu stern, confidently debating kids from harvard and yale, researching with NATO leaders, doing exchange at Cambridge, participating in US-China Peace forums... we have all come a looong way. none of us had crazy connections, affluent parents or extraordinary talent. super humbled and privileged to have spent my youth on meaningful and fun adventures with pookies🥰

This summer, I accidentally came up with an idea for a startup. It was random and purely based on real-life observations. I came up with a first-of-its-kind type of social media app. The first thing I did was share my idea with my close friend and current co-founder, Sardor. We recently applied to UzCombinator with a pure MVP, only having dozens of users, among 1,600 startups. Among them, there were sharks and projects run by 30+ year-old founders. But usually, power is not in statistics, results, or age. It’s about your mindset, your thinking, and the potential you see in yourself. The best ideas don’t mainly come from experience, but from your ability to think uniquely and see potential where others don’t. We passed to the last round. We went to an in-person interview in Tashkent. When the interview finished and we walked out of the room, giving a handshake to my CTO and Sardor, we were already expecting to be among the 30 admitted participants. But here we go — we are waitlisted among a few other candidates. This brought joy and double belief in idea. We still have a chance to get in, but that’s not what matters most now. Prioritize aiming to create unique, global ideas. Try to give them a shot. If not, you always have a second alternative: making an existing idea in the market. @karimsblog
