Telegram's founder Pavel Durov —known for his commitment to privacy and freedom— has made major changes to the app's Privacy Policy & TOS following his arrest.

"We will never change our Privacy Policy due to legal threats."
Durov could not keep up with this promise; Telegram will now disclose IP addresses & phone numbers of users who violate rules in accordance with court orders.
Durov has always criticized rival platforms [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10] for security & privacy flaws, but never addressed those of his own. Moreover, almost all of @Durov's posts dating before 2022 have been mysteriously edited the past month.
