Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin رحمه الله said:
“And it is not possible for a person to remain happy in this world always. Rather, on a day, he is happy, and on (another) day, he is sad; on a day, he achieves something, and on (another) day, he does not.”
شرح رياض الصالحين 1/243
The Virtue of Friday:
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله
"Friday is the day of worship, its comparison to other days like the comparison of the month of Ramadan to other months and the hour in it is like the Night of Decree in Ramadan."[Zaad Al-Ma’aad | 1398]
This is why the Salaf had written extensively, warning from listening to (or reading) the statements of Ahl al-Bid`ah, Why?!
Imam al-Dhahabee رحمه الله mentioned a very beautiful statement. He said:
“because the hearts are weak, and the doubts cling to them like a hook!”[Siyar A`laam al-Nubalaa (7/261) The hearts are weak, and a doubt pierces the heart and clings on to it. شرح كتاب التوحيد - الشيخ صالح العصيمي
