In 2015, an anti-IS/pro-government account claiming to be from Mosul published a short ‘article’ on facebook, documenting the fall of Mosul to IS. They say; during the battle for Mosul (2014) IS would travel to neighbourhoods where they planned to battle and advise the residents to leave, to prevent civilian death. Can’t name a single time the Iraqi Government or its allied-militias did this.
