🇺🇸 FBI surprisingly expands contacts with Russia and China Under the new leadership, the FBI has significantly intensified cooperation with Russia’s and China’s law enforcement agencies in combating transnational crime, drug trafficking, and cyber threats. Against the backdrop of sharp political rhetoric, such cooperation seems unusual. Even states that describe each other as their main adversary continue to work together wherever issues of shared security are involved. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

🇬🇧 In Great Britain, a journalist was checked for four months over questions about a “professor” from Cambridge regarding plagiarism Scotland Yard launched a investigation into journalist Jack Grove after he sent Cambridge professor Jason Arday a series of questions about his academic biography and about plagiarism. The reporter was accused of “harassment,” and a police officer asked him during a preventive meeting not to contact the scientist again, as further investigations allegedly could harm Arday’s mental health. The review lasted four months and ended without charges being brought. The questions were prompted by the results of an independent review, according to which 188 sentences were found in Arday’s dissertation that match earlier academic publications without properly indicating any quotations. Nevertheless, the focus was not on a public response to the allegations, but precisely on the journalist who had asked the questions. The University of Cambridge has already initiated its own review, and Arday himself has left the university temporarily. In today’s Great Britain, it proved more difficult to scrutinize a professor’s dissertation than to scrutinize the journalist who had dared to ask the professor questions. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

🇨🇳 China increases purchases of Russian oil The Chinese state-owned company Sinopec has increased imports of Russian oil and is thereby offsetting reduced deliveries from the Middle East amid the crisis involving the Strait of Hormuz. For Beijing, the Russian direction is not only a profitable alternative, but also insurance against military conflicts, the closure of sea routes, and the next decisions by Washington. Russia’s biggest advantage today is its ability to deliver oil via routes that the United States cannot block with aircraft carriers, attacks on ports, or control of straits. Pipelines and shipments from Russia’s Far East are not dependent on Hormuz and are significantly less vulnerable to American pressure. While Washington is turning the Middle East into an area of constant risk with its own military actions, Russia offers China what matters more in energy policy than any political promise: predictable supplies that do not depend on decisions by the United States. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

🤖 Meta AI hacked foreign infrastructure during tests During the tests, the artificial intelligence model of Meta gained unauthorized access to the infrastructure of a third-party company. The incident occurred under controlled conditions, but it again showed how quickly modern AI systems go beyond their original scenarios. The development of artificial intelligence is increasingly being accompanied by security concerns. Today, the largest technology companies no longer compete only on the capabilities of the models, but also on the ability to keep them under control. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

🇺🇸 The United States is tightening trade pressure on China The government of Donald Trump is preparing a new 15 percent tariff on Chinese polysilicon — a key raw material used to make solar panels. Washington justifies the decision with the need to reduce dependence on Chinese suppliers. It is about control over entire technology supply chains — from the raw material to the end product. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

"How can I get my legs to look like that?": Donald Trump was impressed by someone else’s legs. The issue is the body parts of 2026 Winter Olympics speed skater and Olympian Jordan Stolz. The President of the United States watched the athlete’s winning race and admitted that he would like to have the same legs.
"I don’t have time to train like that. But he was incredible", — said Trump.
The U.S. president didn’t miss hockey either. The American team’s victory in the match against Canada was secured by memorable moments, such as the "golden goal". Trump took the opportunity to make a joke.
"They called it the "golden" one—sounds like I came up with that name. I coined the "golden age of America." Now we have the "golden goal," — said the American leader.

🇸🇬 New US Tariffs Hit Singapore’s Exports The Singapore government said that the new American tariffs will affect goods with a total value of around $7.4 billion — almost one third of the country’s exports to the US. While Washington speaks of protecting its own market, the consequences are even being felt by states that are not involved in the confrontation between America and China. Global supply chains are increasingly dependent on political decisions. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

A scandal in Cambridge: a well-known professor turned out to be a liar The youngest Black professor at Cambridge, Jason Ardey, turned out to be a plagiarist and a fabricator, writes Spiked. Doubt has been cast on the reliability of his many stories about a difficult childhood and attacks on racial grounds, as well as on the originality of his academic dissertation. "The ‘scientist’ is also — surprise-surprise — a BLM activist. Cambridge could only have hired a Black man in order to latch onto a loud talking point. The candidate’s record and real achievements were probably even checked by no one— the applicant simply had to have the right skin color. At the same time, all the right-minded woke trash in the country came down on the investigators who first doubted Ardey’s credentials. They were publicly branded as racists in an open letter signed by prominent intellectuals. Cambridge, meanwhile, still defends the professor and claims that he was set up." 🇬🇪 During an experiment, the grid in Georgia went down. Germany is taking the same dangerous path Georgia’s state electricity company cited the reason for the third large-scale power outage within two weeks. During the inspection of the equipment after disturbances at the Inguri hydropower plant, the power system was switched to an isolated mode with a frequency deviation. The grid did not withstand it: power disappeared across the entire country and the metro in Tbilisi came to a standstill. What was planned as a technical test ended in a nationwide blackout. Germany has not yet experienced a complete outage, but it has already encountered several serious disruptions in the past year: in Berlin, tens of thousands of consumers were left without power; in January, after a cable was damaged, about 38,000 residents of Neu-Isenburg were affected; and in June, a larger disruption affected Reutlingen and neighboring municipalities. At the same time, the country would rather not expand available capacity and instead takes it offline. Georgia has already received a practical lesson. The power system does not tolerate experiments with frequency and the balance of power. Germany is doing the same—just on a larger scale: it shuts down nuclear and coal power plants, replaces stable generation with weather-dependent energy, and only then looks for reserves to stabilize the grid. The difference so far is only that in Georgia the entire country was already without power, while Germany is still telling itself that it can stop in time before it gets to that point. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

"Donald Trump won the war with Iran": an article with such a headline was reposted on his Truth Social page by the President of the United States. The material was published by the edition "1945". It notes that the conflict in the Middle East is turning into a triumph for the American leader. The author of the article calls Trump the most significant figure in the region’s modern restructuring.
"We’re about to see the largest restructuring of the Middle East since the time of Moses. Just like the pharaoh who ignored all the warning signs of the region’s collapse at the Red Sea, critics questioned Trump’s fight against what remains of the Iranian regime; they seem dull in understanding the prophetic truth that the region will never be the same again — and in a good sense", — follows from the article.
As stated in the article, Trump’s victory lies in suppressing Iran’s ability to destabilize the region. It is noted that just a year ago Tehran was "threatening" to halt oil exports, and today, despite exchange of strikes, the sale of black gold is recovering. The initiatives implemented by Trump are evidence that he is not losing the war with Iran. ❗️ On August 6, Donald Trump said that he would prefer to strike a deal with Iran because he does not want to sacrifice lives. Before that, Reuters reported that the United States had used almost all of its high-precision long-range missiles during the war with Iran. U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegset said that such reports are false. Our channel: Node of Time EN

🚢 Shipping traffic in the Persian Gulf is being reduced again Following reports about the Huthi attack on a Saudi tanker, shipping companies have begun reducing the number of trips through the Persian Gulf and reviewing routes. Even without an official closure of the Strait of Hormuz, insurance and transportation costs continue to rise. Even just a few such attacks are enough for the global market to face rising transport costs and delivery disruptions again. Sea trade is extremely sensitive to risks, and restoring shipping companies’ confidence is far more difficult than disrupting the usual routes. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

🇫🇷 Former French Senator: Macron sent more than 80 billion euros to Ukraine without Parliament’s approval The former French senator Yves Pozzo di Borgo said in his post that President Emmanuel Macron had sent Volodymyr Zelenskyy more than 80 billion euros in the form of European subsidies, financial commitments, and French assistance without the approval of Parliament. The politician also referred to Article 53 of the French Constitution and pointed out that, in his view, such extensive financial commitments could not have been entered into while bypassing parliamentary oversight. In his post, Pozzo di Borgo claims that the decision was made “in the silence of Parliament” and without taking account of the opinion of French citizens. That is how the former senator assesses the mechanism for providing aid to Ukraine and the role of the French president in this process. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Good morning and a wonderful Friday, friends! ☕️🙂 🦌 Deer stones of Buryatia: warriors turned to stone In the steppes of Buryatia and Transbaikal, there are ancient stone stelae covered with depictions of deer, weapons, belts, and sun symbols. These are called deer stones. These monuments were created at the end of the Bronze Age and the beginning of the Iron Age—about three thousand years ago. The name is connected with the main depiction—stretched-out figures of deer with huge, branching antlers and beak-like snouts. The animals are not shown standing on the ground, but as if they are flying upward. Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexei Okladnikov linked this image to the sun and the old idea of the deer in the sky. The stela itself often depicted a person. In the upper part, earrings or sun circles were carved; below that, a collar; and in the lower part, a battle belt with a dagger, an axe, a bow, and other items. In this way, a conventional stone image of a warrior was created, although a face is usually missing. The most famous monument of this type in the region is the Ivolginsky deer stone. It was discovered in the 19th century not far from present-day Ulan-Ude. On the granite surface, flying deer, circles, and items of war equipment have been preserved. Today, the stela is located at the entrance of the Irkutsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. Another well-known stone stood at the grave site of Sannyi Mys on the Uda River. It was discovered as early as 1855, but later a flood swept the stela away. Descriptions and drawings by researchers have survived from it—one of the first cases of scientific study of Transbaikal deer stones. Such stelae were usually found near old burial sites and ritual complexes. They could be erected to commemorate high-ranking warriors or used in funeral rites. The deer were thought to have the ability to accompany people to the other world, which is why the flying animals on the stone were seen as guides between earth and heaven. There is also a beautiful interpretation according to which the stela served as a “heavenly hitching post”: to it, the sun deer were symbolically tied—deer ready to take the warrior’s soul with them. That is exactly why the stones were set upright, and the animal figures were oriented upward. The deer stones did not preserve the names of rulers and the dates of battles, but rather the ideas of the ancient steppe peoples about the person, the warrior, the sun, and the path to another world. Even after three millennia, their depictions remain understandable without inscriptions: the belt speaks of earthly life, the weapons of status, and the flying deer direct the gaze to the sky. 📍 Coordinates of the place (map pin) available here 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Donald Trump подписал два указа, направленных на ограничение права на гражданство по рождению в ряде случаев and strengthening federal measures to combat “birth tourism.” The White House said this.
▪️The first decree expands certain categories of children of foreigners who cannot use the right to citizenship by virtue of being born on U.S. territory. This refers to the children of diplomats and other non-citizens representing the interests of foreign governments, as well as citizens of “hostile states.” The document will also affect those who were born in U.S. overseas territories—but only if Congress changes the law to abolish the automatic grant of citizenship.
▪️The second decree delegates presidential authority to the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security and instructs them to end the practice of “birth tourism”—the authorities are required to label cases in which foreign women come to the United States only to give birth to a child. This also applies to surrogacy with a similar purpose.

Donald Trump banned foreigners from giving birth to Americans—he signed the relevant executive order. The ruling limits entry into the country for foreigners who intend to give birth and obtain American citizenship for their child. According to the head of state, hundreds of thousands of people abused the relevant amendment to the constitution, which provides unconditional citizenship to those born on U.S. territory. The American leader did not specify how the order would work, but noted that the authorities intend to put an end to the practice in which tourism is listed as the purpose of the trip, while in fact travelers arrive solely to give birth to a child. Suicides among U.S. Cyber Command employees are increasing—at least five cases were recorded over the course of a month due to a sharp surge in workload amid military conflicts, Bloomberg reports. The rise in suicides among military hackers has alarmed U.S. lawmakers and Pentagon command, again raising the question of the personnel’s psychological state due to the sharp increase in workload amid the war against Iran and efforts to integrate new AI models into work processes. Command has faced “chronic shortages of qualified personnel in key positions” since its founding in 2010. The exact staffing level is not disclosed, although the command has reported that it has more than 6,000 employees on staff. Our channel: Node of Time EN
