If kids listened to good music, and read decent poetry, they would be inoculated against so many contagions. A healthy dose of Dave Matthews, and Khalil Gibran would do more than any time spent on "red pill" content. Why? Facts last momentarily, but the appreciation of beauty lasts forever.

Henry VIII and his relationship with the Barber-Surgeons (whose infamous skill it was to expertly dissect and mutilate human bodies for research), invites a parallel to the scouring of the English monastic communities and his privateering of the English Church. If I am to be dramatic I should say that the first blind steps towards abortion was taken when we started cutting men up on operating tables.

"I have said, perhaps, more than enough on this point. At least it will be plain that in my opinion fairy-stories should not be specially associated with children. They are associated with them: naturally, because children are human and fairy-stories are a natural human taste (though not necessarily a universal one); accidentally, because fairy-stories are a large part of the literary lumber that in latter-day Europe has been stuffed away in attics; unnaturally, because of erroneous sentiment about children, a sentiment that seems to increase with the decline in children." - J.R.R. Tolkien, On Fairy Stories.

The Romans had a theory of grace in their preception of the relation of felicitas with virtus.

As the flowers spring out of the ground, as an apple blooms fourth on the branch, thus is the folksong to man and maid, but the folk-wight [folkevetter] will die with it. So, let now the tune flow from our hearts, and let us sing in verse and let us dream! Here is so much to depress us, but darkness is banished once we verse-sing. So, come with songs of the homely type, and let us verse-sing in the old way, and let us verse-sing without books! That note singing is not for us!

The problems with the tenets of NETTR are rather simple: 1. Defeat of the Left does not give power to the Right, at most it would reintroduce the question of democratic sovereignty. True political power rests in the world state, which has subsumed Left and Right to its conflicts. 2. The definition of the Left as "those who hold leftist ideology" says nothing, it is a tautology. The existential force of politics is not even touched upon here. 3. The Enlightenment was not limited to the Left, and very few escaped its reach. A Counter-Enlightenment position generally entails going beyond the Left and Right distinction – and even that of monarchy against democracy. 4. Carl Schmitt wrote in his late work that man becomes the bearer of a terrible power over the earth, he 'becomes like God, who only has one enemy, namely, himself.' To reintroduce the Left and Right distinction here would sever mankind from this existential struggle. 5. The definition of the Right as "anything not Left" only serves to imprint the friend-enemy distinction with the character of the ideological, thereby devaluing it and depriving it of its power as an intensifier. 6. The Left is not the only threat to our existence. The danger for us is both the democratic order and its dissolution. Both Left and Right have contributed equally here. It would be better to speak of democratic and aristocratic man, or a new figure who will overcome democracy. 7. The very distinction of Left and Right is essential to the democratic order and can only serve to reinforce it. To redefine the Left as a public power and enemy, and the Right as private, is to weaken dissident groupings and deepen capitulation to the establishment. 8. Contractual relations within the Left and Right strengthen organisational rather than political forces. Those uncertain whether they are Machiavellians or Democrats should be considered Democrats of the most dangerous type – they can only increase depoliticizing conflicts. 9. To delay conflicts within the Right while announcing that enemies will have to be created is to proclaim defeat from the very beginning. Political struggle is not even a consideration here, instead vengeance is prepared for a Pseudo-Left, and builds up like compound interest. 10. Total depoliticization necessitates the return to authentic politics. This means, first of all, a turn away from slogans and ideological mechanisims, particularly the private and vulgar oppositions so essential to democracy. "I win. You lose." cannot ever be political. https://twitter.com/SchattigeDer/status/1710149000786018355

Every poem of the Carmina Burana was a question waiting for Nietzsche.

"...but he [Frodo] had (I suppose) also reached the conclusion that physical fighting is actually less ultimately effective than most (good) men think it! Actually I am a Christian, and indeed a Roman Catholic, so that I do not expect 'history' to be anything but a 'long defeat' – though it contains (and in a legend may contain more clearly and movingly) some samples or glimpses of final victory." - Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien, 195 From a letter to Amy Ronald 15 December 1956.

I think this quote by Tolkien explains the issue here.
