But with drug mafias, rave parties and addiction all becoming part of the battle, the question remains: Can Himachal stop a crisis that doesn’t begin in Himachal? #HimachalPradesh #DrugCrisis

What does personal mentorship actually change in an aspirant’s preparation? Sharing the experience of Anand Agrawal from Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, who had cleared Prelims twice but was looking for greater clarity and individual guidance for Mains. For me, mentorship is not about giving everyone the same strategy. It is about understanding where an aspirant is struggling, discussing their answers personally, identifying specific gaps, and working on them consistently. Thank you, Anand, for sharing your genuine feedback. ---------------------------------------------

China and Russia are considering making their visa-free travel arrangement permanent, potentially boosting tourism and people-to-people ties. The current arrangement allows eligible citizens of both countries to travel visa-free for short stays and has been extended through the end of 2027. Putin said visa-free travel helped increase tourist flows between China and Russia by 43% in the first half of 2026. The proposal was discussed during Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin’s meeting on the sidelines of the SCO Summit, where the two leaders also discussed strengthening bilateral ties and wider international and regional issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a bilateral meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek on Monday, official sources said. Modi arrived in Bishkek on Sunday, while Pezeshkian is expected to reach the Kyrgyz capital on Monday morning. Efforts are underway to schedule a meeting between the two leaders. If it takes place, this will be the first in-person meeting between Modi and Pezeshkian since the US-Israel war with Iran began on February 28. The two leaders last met on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, in 2024. Modi and Pezeshkian have remained in contact through phone calls, including after the conflict broke out. Modi has reiterated that India remains a friend of Iran. The leaders are also expected to discuss trade, energy and connectivity ties, which have faced challenges following the expiry of the US sanctions waiver for the Chabahar port. Pezeshkian is also expected to visit India next month for the BRICS summit.
