🦅Falcon saved His Friend The King:
Once upon a time in the country of present Turkey, a king ruled a kingdom. He was very fond of hunting. He was a famous hunter in the kingdom. There was no one to beat him in hunting in his country.
The King had a loyal and intelligent pet Falcon. He took the falcon wherever he went for hunting. On one such hunting expedition, the falcon sat on the king's shoulder when he rode into the thick forest. The servants also rode behind him watching the falcon seriously.
At a place he stopped and watched very curiously. He heard a strange noise. There he saw a gazelle and said “How beautiful it is!"
He was very much attracted by the its gracefull walk and the long, slender antlers. Suddenly he took his bow and arrow and aimed at the animal. But the animal quickly sped away from that place. The King and the servants chased it into the forest. But the animal dodged them to escape. It sprang between the trees and bushes and ran away into the thick forest.
But when the king continued his chasing, the servants could not follow him and stayed back. The king was isolated from his servants with his horse and falcon. The evening came. The King felt very tired and he was also thirsty.
He cried “Water! Water please!"
He moved here and there in search of water. He lost his way also.
Finally he came near a pond with little water. He quickly took his jar and filled it with water. As he was exhausted very much he brought the jar near his mouth, the falcon flapped its wings. The wings, which flung near the jar made the jar to slip and the water flowed out to the ground.
He cried’ “What did you do?" can’t you know, I am thirsty now!"
The King patiently bent down and refilled his jar with water to drink. When he tried again to drink the falcon again fluttered and spilled the water in the ground. Now the King got angry and said," Are you mad! Don’t you know my thirst? But the falcon continued its flapping around the king. So he thought that the falcon was an ungrateful bird. So he drew out his sward from the cover to kill the falcon.
But the falcon screamed and looked at the king. The King felt that the bird wanted to tell something.
So the king looked up and, there he saw some poisonous snakes on the branches of the tree. Then he knew that the water in the pond was full of poison dropping from the mouth of snakes. If the King drank the water he would be dead. But the falcon prevented its master from drinking the poisonous water.
So the King realized that the faithful falcon had saved his life. So he smiled at the bird and murmured, “ You are my good friend."
It also felt glad that his master understood its' good intention.

👁 Eye for An Eye:
Once there lived a prince. He lost one of his eyes. But now he was not a prince, he wandered here and there as a noble man.
One day he came to an Inn to stay for the night. He hired a room in the inn and stayed there in the night. As he liked the place very much he stayed there for days. The daughter of the Inn’s owner met him occasionally. She took pity on him and asked, how he had lost his eye. The noble man told her that once his father was a king of a country. When he was away to his cousin’s kingdom, one wicked minister cunningly killed his father and came to the throne. While he was returning back to his country, his men captured him on the way. The Minister ordered to take the left eye. “This was how I lost my one eye" he said in a low voice.
The daughter of the inn asked him, “why did the minister take your eye?" he said.
"The minister wanted to take revenge on me. It was also a separate story." Said that prince.
He then continued, “In my young age, I was wandering with bow and arrows. When I was shooting, it had hit the minister's left eye unexpectedly. So he lost his left eye and he was awaiting a suitable opportunity to revenge me. So he captured me when I returned to my kingdom. I begged for mercy and told that he did not blind his eye purposefully. But he didn't listen to my words and blinded my left eye and sent me from the kingdom to the forest. I was wandering in the forest for many days. One day the animal hunters took pity on me and brought me here. Since then I have been staying here." He finished.
The Inn owner’s daughter said, “Your life story touched my heart and this should not happen to any one. Then the noble man left the place and went on his way.

👁 आंख के बदले आंख:
एक बार एक राजकुमार रहता था। उन्होंने अपनी एक आंख खो दी. परन्तु अब वह राजकुमार न रहा, कुलीन मनुष्य बन कर इधर-उधर घूमता रहता था।
एक दिन वह रात को रुकने के लिए एक सराय में आया। उसने सराय में एक कमरा किराए पर लिया और रात को वहीं रुका। चूँकि उसे वह स्थान बहुत पसंद आया तो वह कई दिनों तक वहाँ रुका। सराय के मालिक की बेटी कभी-कभी उससे मिलती थी। उसे उस पर दया आई और उसने पूछा कि उसने अपनी आंख कैसे खो दी। कुलीन व्यक्ति ने उसे बताया कि एक बार उसके पिता एक देश के राजा थे। जब वह अपने चचेरे भाई के राज्य में गया हुआ था, एक दुष्ट मंत्री ने चालाकी से उसके पिता की हत्या कर दी और सिंहासन पर बैठ गया। जब वह अपने देश वापस लौट रहा था तो रास्ते में उसके आदमियों ने उसे पकड़ लिया। मंत्री ने बायीं आँख ले लेने का आदेश दिया। उन्होंने धीमी आवाज में कहा, "इस तरह मैंने अपनी एक आंख खो दी।"
सराय की बेटी ने उससे पूछा, “मंत्री ने तुम्हारी आँख क्यों ले ली?” उसने कहा।
"मंत्री जी मुझसे बदला लेना चाहते थे. ये भी अलग कहानी थी." उस राजकुमार ने कहा.
फिर उन्होंने आगे कहा, “मैं अपनी युवावस्था में धनुष-बाण लेकर घूम रहा था। जब मैं शूटिंग कर रहा था, तो यह अप्रत्याशित रूप से मंत्री की बायीं आंख पर लग गया था। इसलिए उसने अपनी बायीं आँख खो दी और वह मुझसे बदला लेने के लिए उपयुक्त अवसर की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा था। इसलिये जब मैं अपने राज्य में लौटा तो उसने मुझे पकड़ लिया। मैंने रहम की भीख मांगी और कहा कि उसने जानबूझ कर अपनी आंख नहीं मूंदी है. परन्तु उसने मेरी बात न मानी और मेरी बायीं आँख मूँदकर मुझे राज्य से जंगल में भेज दिया। मैं कई दिनों तक जंगल में भटकता रहा। एक दिन पशु शिकारियों को मुझ पर दया आ गयी और वे मुझे यहाँ ले आये। तब से मैं यहीं रह रहा हूं।" उसने अपनी बात समाप्त की।
सराय के मालिक की बेटी ने कहा, “आपकी जीवन कहानी मेरे दिल को छू गई और ऐसा किसी के साथ नहीं होना चाहिए। तब वह कुलीन व्यक्ति वहां से चला गया और अपनी राह चला गया।
