​​The Mystery of Brazil’s Ancient Ingá Stone Might Have Just Been Solved The Ingá Stone, also known as “Pedra do Ingá” in Portuguese, is a colossal rock formation located in the middle of the Ingá River near the small city of Ingá, in northeastern Brazil. It measures approximately 3.8 meters (12.5 ft) in height and 46 meters (151 ft) in length, making it one of the largest inscribed stones in the world. Its surface is adorned with intricate engravings depicting a vast array of symbols, including humans, animals, geometric shapes, and cryptic hieroglyphs. The origins of the Ingá Stone remain shrouded in mystery, with its exact age and purpose still subject to debate among scholars. Most geologists, however, estimate that the rock formation dates back at least 6,000 years. And the carvings on it were most probably created by natives who lived in the area until the 18th century. One prominent hypothesis that has been put forth assigns remarkable significance to the petroglyphs of the Ingá Stone from an archeoastronomical perspective. In 1976, Francisco Pavía Alemany, a Spanish engineer, initiated a mathematical study of this archaeological monument and identified a series of “bowls” and another petroglyph engraved on the vertical surface, which formed a “solar calendar.” According to Alemany, a gnomon cast the shadow of the first rays of sunlight each day onto this calendar. Subsequently, F. Pavia pursued further research, shifting his focus to a set of engravings on the rocky surface, which he interpreted as a multitude of “stars” arranged in “constellations.” The presence of both the “bowls” and the “constellations” on the same rock is believed to bestow significant archeoastronomical value upon it. In the early twentieth century, Ludwig Schwennhagen, originally from Austria, conducted extensive research on Brazilian history. His studies revealed striking resemblances between the symbols present on the Ingá Stone and the iconography associated not only with the Phoenicians but also with the demotic writings, primarily used for business and literary documents, of ancient Egypt. Additionally, other groups of researchers discovered a remarkable similarity between the carvings found on the Ingá Stone and the indigenous artwork found on Easter Island. A recent study by Telma Costa takes the language theory one step further by arguing that besides the verification of the origin of languages that evidently derived from the botanical knowledge, the Ingá stone reveals an ancient people’s knowledge of the fertilization and crossing of the Ingazeira (a type of Brazilian tree). “The flower of the angiosperm species that, as biologists usually present in their cyclic schemes, is found in the middle of the ground so that we can see its interior and the way in which a double fertilization of the species occurs, is described in the stone of the Ingá. This means that the stone of the Ingá brings in its curious figures nothing more than symbols representative of the lunar cycles referring to the time and the double fertilization of the angiosperm, referring to the flower of the Ingazeira,” he writes.

Well, my investigation has recently discovered government officials from 15 federal agencies knew in 2018 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was trying to create a coronavirus like COVID-19. These officials knew that the Chinese lab was proposing to create a COVID 19-like virus and not one of these officials revealed this scheme to the public. In fact, 15 agencies with knowledge of this project have continuously refused to release any information concerning this alarming and dangerous research. Government officials representing at least 15 federal agencies were briefed on a project proposed by Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. This project, the DEFUSE project, proposed to insert a furin cleavage site into a coronavirus to create a novel chimeric virus that would have been shockingly similar to the COVID-19 virus. For years, I have been fighting to obtain records from dozens of federal agencies relating to the origins of COVID-19 and the DEFUSE project. Under duress, the administration finally released documents that show that the DEFUSE project was pitched to at least 15 agencies in January 2018. What does this mean? It means that at least 15 federal agencies knew from the beginning of the pandemic that EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology were seeking federal funding in 2018 to create a virus genetically very similar if not identical to COVID-19. Disturbingly, not one of these 15 agencies spoke up to warn us that the Wuhan Institute of Virology had been pitching this research. Not one of these agencies warned anyone that this Chinese lab had already put together plans to create such a virus. Peter Daszak concealed this proposal. University of North Carolina scientist Ralph Baric, a named collaborator on the DEFUSE project, failed to reveal that the Wuhan Institute of Virology had already proposed to create a virus similar to COVID-19. And now we know that 15 agencies heard the proposal and when each agency discovered that COVID-19 was strangely similar to DEFUSE’s proposed virus creation, not one agency head stepped forward to warn the public that the virus might be man-made and therefore already adapted to transmit freely among humans. Not surprising to some of us, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) was not only briefed on Wuhan’s desire to create this virus, NIAID was actually listed as a participant in the initial DEFUSE pitch. Fauci’s Rocky Mountain Lab was named as a partner alongside the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the proposal. These documents also reveal that a scientist whose lab has received millions of dollars from EcoHealth was also part of the original plan to create these chimeric coronaviruses. This researcher, Ian Lipkin, also later became one of the authors of "Proximal Origins," a journal paper commissioned by Fauci and National Institutes of Health head Francis Collins to throw shade on anyone arguing that the virus might have come from the lab. Yet, Ian Lipkin never revealed to the public the DEFUSE proposal. Did NIAID warn us? Did Anthony Fauci warn us? No! All lips remained sealed. Shame on all those who covered up the DEFUSE project! Of course, they all should be punished but likely won’t. At the very least, though, the perpetrators should be made to admit the truth and Congress should finally put in place sufficient oversight to make sure dangerous gain of function experiments are sufficiently vetted and, if necessary, prevented.

​​Solar waste may reach 1.2 GW annually in Australia Researchers from the Australian Centre of Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) say the nation’s solar panel waste problem is more pressing than previously thought with a new report contradicting earlier findings that significant volumes of PV waste would not appear until at least after 2030. The Scoping Study: Solar Panel end-of-life management in Australia report forecasts up to 100,000 tonnes of PV waste being generated every year by the end of the decade on the way to a projected cumulative volume of 1 million tonnes of decommissioned panels by 2035. UNSW researcher and report co-author Dr Rong Deng said approximately 892,000 tonnes or solar waste is projected to come from rooftop systems, with an estimated 265,000 tonnes from large-scale solar farms. The report recommends the establishment of large waste facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide by 2027 as a matter of urgency as part of a broader strategy to establish a national solar panel recycling and reuse market. While the report calls for immediate action on the metropolitan sites, it also highlights that some regional areas are expected to have even faster waste generation growth between 2025 and 2030. These include the Dubbo/Wellington, Newcastle, Balranald, and Murrumbidgee regions in NSW; the Whitsunday, Townsville, Sunshine Coast, and Western Downs regions in Queensland; and Mildura in Victoria. The report suggests that the Dubbo/Wellington region, in the heart of the planned Central West-Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), has the greatest projected growth with PV waste tipped to soar from 2,500 tonnes of waste in 2023 to a predicted 9,000 tonnes by 2035. Commissioned by the Australian arm of French renewables giant Neoen, the report highlights that high recycling expenses currently hinder PV recycling, estimating it costs about $2 to send a panel to landfill compared to $10-20 per panel to recycle. The report also highlights the challenge of finding markets for the recycled materials or a suitable domestic market for reused panels.

​​The 1.6 million-year-old discovery that changes what we know about human evolution New research has pinpointed the likely time in prehistory when humans first began to speak. Analysis by British archaeologist Steven Mithen suggests that early humans first developed rudimentary language around 1.6 million years ago – somewhere in eastern or southern Africa. “Humanity’s development of the ability to speak was without doubt the key which made much of subsequent human physical and cultural evolution possible. That’s why dating the emergence of the earliest forms of language is so important,” Dr Mithen, professor of early prehistory at the University of Reading, told The Independent. Until recently, most human evolution experts thought humans only started speaking around 200,000 years ago. Professor Mithen’s new research, published this month, suggests that rudimentary human language is at least eight times older. His analysis is based on a detailed study of all the available archaeological, paleo-anatomical, genetic, neurological and linguistic evidence. When combined, all the evidence suggests that the birth of language occurred as part of a suite of human evolution and other developments between two and 1.5 million years ago. Significantly, human brain size increased particularly rapidly from 2 million BC, especially after 1.5 million BC. Associated with that brain size increase was a reorganisation of the internal structure of the brain – including the first appearance of the area of the frontal lobe, specifically associated with language production and language comprehension. Known to scientists as Broca’s area, it seems to have evolved out of earlier structures responsible for early humanity’s ability to communicate with hand and arm gestures. Other key evidence pointing to around 1.6 million BC as the approximate date humans started speaking, comes from the archaeological record. Compared to many other animals, humans were not particularly strong. To survive and prosper, they needed to compensate for that relative physical weakness. In evolutionary terms, language was almost certainly part of that physical strength compensation strategy. In order to hunt large animals (or, when scavenging, to repel physically strong animal rivals), early humans needed greater group planning and coordination abilities – the development of language would have been crucial in facilitating that. Significantly, date-wise, human hunting began around two million years ago – but seems to have substantially accelerated by around 1.5 million years ago. Around 1.6 million BC also saw the birth and inter-generational cultural transmission of much more sophisticated stone tool technology. That long-term transfer of complex knowledge and skills from generation to generation also strongly implies the existence of speech. What’s more, linguistic communication was probably crucial in allowing humans to survive in different ecological and climatic zones – it’s probably no coincidence that humans were able to massively accelerate their colonisation of the world around 1.4 million years ago, ie, shortly after the likely date of the birth of language. Language enabled humans to do three key forward-looking things – to conceive of and plan future actions and to pass on knowledge.
