US President Donald Trump has agreed to an ethics provision in the CLARITY Act, removing the final major hurdle to advancing the crypto market structure bill toward a Senate vote. The provision would restrict presidents, vice presidents, members of Congress and other federal officials from profiting from digital assets while in office. The bill text is expected to be released in the coming days, with the Senate facing a deadline in the first week of August. If passed, the bill will return to the House before being sent to Trump for signature.
