Important Update on IBEDC (Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company) prepaid meters. This is to inform you about a software update which is carried put by IBEDC that will impact all IBEDC (Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company) prepaid meters, scheduled to take effect from August 1st, 2023. To avoid any inconvenience, we kindly request that you advise your customers to load all previously purchased electricity tokens before August 1, 2023. After this date, any old tokens that have not been loaded into your prepaid metre will be rejected. Please ensure that your customers are aware that commencing from August 1, 2023, they will receive two Key Change Tokens (KCT1 & KCT2) alongside their regular energy tokens upon purchasing electricity tokens. These Key Change Tokens (KCTs) will be utilised to upgrade their prepaid meters.. The upgrade process involves loading KCT1 and KCT2 on the meter, followed by the energy token generated. Once completed, the prepaid meter will be immediately upgraded, and the corresponding unit will be delivered to the meter. Best Regards, Easy Access Team.
