The Virtue of the Month of Allah, Muharram, and Fasting on Ashura The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked: "Which prayer is best after the obligatory prayers, and which fasting is best after the month of Ramadan?" He (ﷺ) said: "The best prayer after the prescribed prayer is prayer in the middle of the night (tahajjud), and the best fasting after the month of Ramadan is fasting in the month of Allah, Muharram." 📚: Sahih Muslim 1163 (2756)

Congratulating others in the new Gregorian or Hijri years or the Mawlid The first question of Fatwa no. 20795 Q 1: Is it permissible to congratulate non-Muslims on the occasion of the new Gregorian year, the new Hijri (lunar) year, and the Mawlid (the Prophet’s birthday)? A: It is not permissible to offer congratulations on such occasions, because it is not Mashru‘ (Islamically lawful) to celebrate them. May Allah grant us success.
