Let's talk about something that separates traders who survive from those who don't.
Drawdown management.
Every trader has losing periods. Even the best strategies go through stretches where nothing works. The difference is how you handle your account during those stretches.
Here's the rule I live by.
After two losses in a row, I reduce my position size by half. Not stop trading. Just trade smaller until I find my rhythm again.
Why? Because losses cluster. And when you're in a losing streak, your judgement is usually slightly off. Trading smaller protects your capital and your confidence until the market and your read line back up.
You can't control whether you have a losing streak. You can control how much it costs you.
Protect the downside. The upside takes care of itself.
