🚨BREAKING: Ottawa Trucker Convoy Organizer Tamara Lich Arrested for Alleged Breach of "Bail Conditions" 🇨🇦@COVID19Up: Tamara Lich, one of the organizers of the Freedom Convoy, has been arrested in Alberta, Canada for an alleged breach of her bail conditions, according to CTV News. Lich was released on bail in May after being arrested in Ottawa in February following the federal government’s invoking of the Emergencies Act. "This appears to be over an alleged breach of her bail conditions, possibly the restriction on communicating with certain named individuals associated with they Freedom Convoy," wrote CTV journalist Glen McGregor on Twitter. EU Renews Digital COVID Pass Despite 99% Negative Public Feedback 🇪🇺🤡@COVID19Up: Acting on a proposal of the European Commission, the European Parliament on Thursday (June 23) voted to renew the EU Digital COVID Certificate for another year. It had been scheduled to expire on June 30. The EU has opted to extend the COVID certificate despite the overwhelmingly negative results of a public consultation on the subject that was launched by the European Commission under the heading of “Have Your Say” and that was open to the public from February 3 to April 8. The consultation elicited over 385,000 responses—almost all of which appear to be opposed to renewal. In a letter to the European Ombudsman, French member of the parliament Virginie Joron writes: "I read hundreds of responses at random with my team. I did not find any in favor of extending the QR code [i.e. the digital certificate]. Based on this large survey, it seems obvious that virtually all the responses were negative." Austria Abolishes Already-Suspended COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate 🇦🇹💉@COVID19Up: Austria is scrapping an already-suspended COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Health Minister Johannes Rauch announced on Thursday (June 23). "We have decided as a government to do away with the vaccine mandate," Rauch told a news conference. "Living with COVID means that we will bring forward a comprehensive package of measures, and today that means the abolition of compulsory vaccination." "No one is getting vaccinated because of the compulsory vaccination," he said. People have to be convinced into getting vaccinated, Rauch explained. "And we can only achieve this, when it is on a voluntary basis." Originally, the plan was to threaten those who refused COVID-19 vaccination with a fine of up to €3,600 ($3,780), as of March 15. Minister za zdravje Janez Poklukar se je konec maja v Ženevi udeležil 75. zasedanja Generalne skupščine Svetovne zdravstvene organizacije (WHO). V imenu Slovenije je podpisal dveletni sporazum o sodelovanju med ministrstvom za zdravje in WHO. To ni sporazum, ki bi Svetovni zdravstveni organizaciji dal pooblastila, da se postavi nad nacionalne zakone in ustave držav članic ter v primeru pandemije uvede obvezno cepljenje, kar skrbi del slovenske in svetovne javnosti.
