➡️ A ranking member of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee on Wednesday proposed the idea of redeploying U.S. tactical nuclear arms to South Korea to beef up deterrence, noting the absence of any immediate diplomatic solution to North Korea's nuclear quandary.
➡️ Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) made the proposal in a report, titled "21st Century Peace Through Strength: A Generational Investment in the U.S. Military," in which he stressed Pyongyang continues to "outpace expectations" about its nuclear and missile programs with capabilities to target the continental United States.
➡️ "Because there is no immediate diplomatic solution in sight, the United States must ensure that deterrence does not erode on the Korean Peninsula," the senator said in the report.
➡️ "That means maintaining readiness with regular U.S.-Republic of Korea military exercises, keeping a persistent U.S. military presence on the Korean Peninsula and exploring new options -- such as nuclear-sharing agreements in the Indo-Pacific and redeployment of U.S. tactical nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula -- to bolster deterrence on the Korean Peninsula," he added.

08 Collin Teem was killed in action in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Oblast on May 11th. Collin served in the Marine Corps as an 0331 Machine Gunner with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment. After he left the Marines he traveled to Ukraine and volunteered to fight, serving with a GUR unit called Rogue Team. He was killed while manning his machine gun, laying down suppressive fire for his team to withdraw. Collin’s family needs to get him home for his funeral and they need help. Goons Up and some Marines that served with Collin have made memorial shirts, hoodies, and stickers to raise money to bring Collin home. Those shirts are up on the Goons Up website until this upcoming Friday. Collin was only 23 years old when he died.

Two memoranda of understanding were signed today between the Romanian defence industry and foreign manufacturers. One is between Uzina Mecanica Cugir and Hekler & Koch GmbH (Germany). The second is between Romaero and Aeroplex of Central Europe Aircraft Technology Center (Hungary). The next are agreements between Romarm and General Dynamics (USA) and Uzina Carfil and Periscope Aviation (USA). The memorandum between UM Cugir and Hekler & Koch GmbH aims to negotiate a joint venture, a strategic partnership, for the joint production of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) with NATO technology on the Uzina's platform, the Economy Ministry writes in a release.
The Memorandum of Understanding between Romaero, which is in insolvency, and Aeroplex of Central Europe Aircraft Technology Center provides for the provision of maintenance and repair services for Boeing 737 classic & NG and Airbus A320 family aircraft.
The memoranda were signed at the Bucharest International Defence Show and Aerospace (BSDA) 2024 event. There, Minister Radu Oprea said that on Friday Romarm, the state-owned umbrella company of the national armaments industry, will sign another memorandum of understanding, with General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (USA), which will create the conditions for the modernisation of the production of large-calibre ammunition and the development of production capacities for NATO standard ammunition in the factories of Romarm subsidiaries.
Also on Friday, a step is taken towards the production of the first Romanian drone. The Carfil factory in Brasov will sign a strategic industrial cooperation agreement with the American manufacturer of military and civil drones - Periscope Aviation.

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said today at the opening of BSDA 2024 that Romania can no longer afford to make the mistakes of the past, when arms factories were closed and those that remained alive were threatened with bankruptcy". The Prime Minister also said that Economy Minister Radu Oprea is preparing an ambitious project on the Romanian Drone.
The government has been preparing such partnerships for some time because of the need for defence, in a context where almost all Romanian arms factories are in a very difficult financial situation due to lack of technology and poor management.
In March, the European Commission approved a €47m project to build a powder factory in Brasov county, to be built by German company Rheinmetall.
The list of companies in the portfolio of the Ministry of Economy includes almost the entire Romanian defence industry, at company level. We have Craiova Aircraft, IAR Ghimbav, IOR, Romaero, Uzina Mecanica Orăștie, Tohan Zărnești, Carfil Brașov, Uzina Mecanica Plopeni, Uzina Mecanica Cugir, Uzina Mecanica Sadu, Uzina Mecanica Mija, Uzina Mecanica Moreni, Uzina Mecanica București, Uzina Specială Dragomirești, Fabrica de Pulberi Făgăraș, Uzina Cugir, Uzina Drăgășani. All these factories, with a few exceptions such as Avioane Craiova (whose debts have been written off), IAR and Uzina Sadu are in a precarious financial situation with massive debts to ANAF.

Economy Minister Radu Oprea told Digi24 on Friday that Romania has signed a memorandum to transform some ROMARM factories into a centre for the production of ammunition for tanks and that our country aims to become the main producer of ammunition for Abrams tanks in Eastern and Central Europe.
"Another memorandum was signed today in the presence of Ambassador Kavalec with GDOTS, General Dynamics, the ammunition manufacturing side. We want to transform the ROMARM factories into a centre of excellence for large ammunition, 120, 155 calibre, to produce in Romania and export from Romania to Eastern and Central European countries for American tanks that are already present in as many countries as possible, Romania will be this pole, this centre of excellence, where we will produce this ammunition. We are advanced in this project, because we have worked a long time ago, the project is defined, we know the value of the investments, the time, today this partnership between ROMARM and General Dynamics was signed".

27 В Беларуси проводятся летно-тактические учения
⏺С 27 по 31 мая «в рамках совершенствования единой региональной системы ПВО Беларуси и России» проводятся совместные летно-тактическое учения. Об этом сообщило МО РБ.
К учениям привлекаются авиационные базы, подразделения зенитных ракетных и радиотехнических войск ВС РБ, а также экипажи разведывательной, истребительной и армейской авиации ВКС ВС РФ. Руководство учениями будет осуществлять командующий ВВС и войск ПВО Беларуси.
В ходе учений будут отработаны вопросы управления разнородными силами авиации, а также организации взаимодействия при выполнении ими учебно-боевых задач. Основные усилия будут направлены на решение задач по прикрытию государственных и военных объектов от ударов средств воздушного нападения. Также на авиационных полигонах экипажам предстоит отработать прикрытие подразделений сухопутных войск.
Ранее мы сообщали о прибытии на аэродром «Барановичи» восьми вертолетов Ми-8 и Ми-24 ВКС РФ. Кроме вертолетов, на аэродроме постоянно находятся два разведывательных самолета Су-24МР ВКС РФ и минимум четыре истребителя Су-30СМ ВКС РФ. Также с 21 мая на аэродроме «Лида» находится самолет Ил-22ПП.
Судя по пресс-релизу МО РБ, перечисленные самолеты и вертолеты будут принимать участие в учениях от ВКС РФ.
По нашей информации, с аэродрома «Мачулищи» вылетели двенадцать вертолетов ВВС РБ. Часть из них направляется на аэродром «Барановичи», еще часть — на аэродром «Осовцы». Активность, вероятно, связана с начавшимися учениями. Полетов истребительной и штурмовой авиации ВВС РБ в настоящее время не фиксируется.
Примечательно, что (пока) на официальных ресурсах МО РФ нет информации о проведении учений. Вкупе с передачей руководства учениями беларусским военным, это лишь подчеркивает «важность» мероприятия для российской стороны. Аналогичным образом происходило и с освещением летно-тактических учений 2023 г.

28 В Беларусь прилетели ещё 6 вертолётов ВКС РФ
Вчера утром сообщалось, что 25 мая на аэродром «Барановичи» из российской Сещи прибыли два вертолёта Ми-24 и Ми-8 ВКС РФ. В последствии выяснилось, что из РФ в Беларусь было переброшено больше вертолётов.
По уточнённым данным, суммарно 25 мая в «Барановичи» из Сещи (РФ) прибыло 8 вертолётов Ми-24 и Ми-8 ВКС РФ.
Таким образом, прямо сейчас в Барановичах находятся:
⚫️2 разведывательных самолета Су-24МР ВКС РФ;
⚫️мин. 4 истребителя Су-30СМ ВКС РФ;
⚫️8 вертолётов Ми-24 и Ми-8 ВКС РФ.

29 Обзор военных событий в Беларуси за 20 — 26 мая
🔴В Минске состоялась рабочая встреча министров обороны Беларуси и России Виктора Хренина и Андрея Белоусова. Стороны обсудили актуальные вопросы двустороннего военного и военно-технического сотрудничества.
🔴Среди мероприятий боевой подготовки можно выделить командно-штабные учения с органами управления и подразделениями тылового обеспечения, а также проверку батальонной тактической группы 6-й механизированной бригады.
🔴Павел Муравейко был назначен новым начальником Генерального штаба ВС РБ. Минобороны начало закупку беспилотных авиационных комплексов «Беркут-3» беларусского производства.
