Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “What religion and what good is in a person who witnesses Allāh’s prohibitions being violated, His limits being neglected, His religion abandoned, and the Sunnah of His Messenger (ﷺ) deserted, while he remains cold-hearted and silent; a mute devil. Just as the person who utters falsehood is a speaking devil.”

📚 The Sealed Nectar (Ar-Raheeq al-Makhtūm), by Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri

— Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence.” [Sahih al-Bukhari 3461] — The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, "When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of deen." [Bukhari and Muslim] — Sufyaan ath-Thawri رحمه الله said: “There is no deed after the obligatory duties that is more virtuous than seeking knowledge.” [Hilyat al-Awliya’ (6/361)] — Az-Zuhri رحمه الله said: “Allah is not worshipped with anything like seeking knowledge.” [Jaami‘ Bayaam al-‘Ilm (1/119)]

وَلَا تَمۡشِ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مَرَحًاۖ إِنَّكَ لَن تَخۡرِقَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَلَن تَبۡلُغَ ٱلۡجِبَالَ طُولࣰا﴿ ٣٧ ﴾ And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height. [Al-Isrāʾ, 37]

Remember, looks never took anyone to Jannah. But Julaybib’s (رضي الله عنه) fear of his Lord did.
