So basically the Canadian government is calling exchanges and telling them not to allow people associated with the Truckers Convoy to cash out. We already knew Coinbase and a couple other exchanges are kiked, but can they really force all exchanges to comply? There is no way to stop the trade of crypto. Truckers can still receive bitcoin and their actual wallets (seeds/keys) cannot be seized. Any btc in a wallet that is banned by exchanges can simply be turned into monero, where it will essentially dissapear, then back into bitcoin in a brand new wallet unknown to anyone. It's extremely insane the levels the Canadian government are going with this, but even with all of their power, it is still impossible to prevent anyone from sending, receiving, or holding crypto.
