Cache A super-fast but small memory area. Used for fast access to frequently accessed data. If the data is missing from the cache, the processor has to access main memory via the bus, which takes a long time (compared to the cache, found directly in the processor). #SomeTheory

Rufus 3.18 has learned how to bypass Windows 11 PC requirements This program has always been very handy and easy to use, and now it has learned how to bypass Microsoft's restrictions, which previously might have been an obstacle to installing Windows 11 on outdated PCs. You'll need Rufus version 3.18 beta or higher. Simply now select "Extended Windows 11 Installation (no TPM / no Secure Boot)" from the "Image Options" drop-down list. Next, wait for the flash drive creation process to complete and install the OS on your laptop or PC. #Useful

Let's look at the concept of "server" Originally, a server was an application or process running on a computer. The term appeared in 1969 in documentation describing the ARPANET (the forerunner of the Internet). It comes from the word "serve" which describes the activities of a server in general terms. Over time, the term has expanded a bit and now describes any device that runs server applications. That is, those that serve users in one way or another. To put it a bit more clearly, it is a PC that runs continuously and acts as a platform for development, basing network gateways, creating gaming platforms or storing data on a regular basis. #SomeTheory

How to enable flags in "Google Chrome"? Many times, before some new features are released in Google Chrome, they are added as optional settings that are hidden behind "flags". Users can turn on each of the experimental features they like on their own to get a quick preview. Open a new Chrome web browser tab and enter the following flags page address in the status bar chrome://flags Once the flags are enabled, users should restart the browser using the little blue "Relaunch" button that appears at the bottom of the page. Now let's move on to a few interesting flags: Automatic display of any page in a dark theme chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark Smooth scrolling chrome://flags/#smooth-scrolling Quicker QUIC interaction (makes browsing faster) chrome://flags/#enable-quic #Useful

Apple's 64-core M1 Ultra lost in tests to RTX 3090 During a March presentation, Apple announced a new M1 Ultra chip "with better performance" than the Intel Core i9-12900K with lower power consumption. The company also claimed that the 64-core GPU delivers better performance than the flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, while consuming 200 watts less power. However, tests have shown a different picture. Verge decided to test a Mac Studio desktop computer equipped with the most powerful SoC M1 Ultra (20-core processor, 64-core graphics processor) combined with 128GB of shared memory. Tests showed that the system with the Core i9-10900 and 64GB of RAM scored 215,034 in Geekbench 5 Compute compared to 83,121 for the Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra (102,156 with Metal). #NewsDay

History of the NFT's birth Blockchain and cryptocurrencies have been around for years, but NFT only appeared a few years ago. They owe much of their popularity to the game CryptoKitties, where you have to grow and breed virtual cryptocats. The cost of one such kitten can sometimes exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars. NFT's connection with cryptocurrencies also played an important role, because during pandemic times there were a lot of new non-professional players who wanted to earn money. But the biggest influence on the popularity of these tokens has been the high-profile names that are actively fueling interest in the topic. Every day you can read news about how another celebrity sold something in NFT for a huge amount of money. It's one thing to talk about NFT in narrow crypto circles, and quite another when information giants like Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg and others come into play. #SomeTheory

Turning off Cortana I suspect Cortana is used by a minority of users and it collects data from everyone, so here is a way to turn it off. - Press Win + R and type regedit and hit Enter. - In the left section of the editor, go to HKEYLOCALMACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows. - Click on your Windows partition and select New - Partition in the context menu. Specify the name of your Windows Search partition. - On the right side, create a DWORD (32 bit) parameter named AllowCortana. - Double-click the created parameter and set the value to 0. - Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. #Useful
